LED and OLED TVsJust bought a Samsung S95D and the TV does not reliably turn on through HDMI CEC ... I've tried using an Apple TV and a Playstation 5, both of which are set to turn the TV on through HDMI CEC and have the appropriate cables to do so (i.e. both of these devices turned my previous Samsung Q90T on without any issues prior to this TV).
This seems to be an issue when the TV is off for more than an hour ... if the TV was just recently turned off (e.g. in the past hour), the Apple TV and the Playstation 5 are both able to turn the TV on. Anything more than an hour, the TV does not turn on successfully through these two devices

LED and OLED TVsI have the same issue with my Samsung The Frame 65" (2024). Model QE65LS03DAU.
My connected Apple TV 4K can turn the TV off, and back on, but only within a short timespan after turning it off. As the other customers report, the TV seems to go to some kind of deep sleep. If I wait about an hour after turning the TV off via the Apple TV, the TV doesn't go on when the Apple TV turns on.
I tried with Apple TV connect directly to the Samsung TV and via an AVR.
I can confirm that all HDMI-CEC features work. Turning off and on works, but only within +/- 30 minutes. If I wait too long, turning on via HDMI-CEC no longer works, even though my AVR does turn on.
I can't think of any other reason besides the Samsung TV going into a deep sleep mode after a certain timeout, where it stops responding to certain HDMI CEC actions.
I hope that there is a software update available soon!

LED and OLED TVsYet the factory remote works without a problem. SO itās definitely the Apple TV/Siri Remote combo that is at fault.
Letās not forget that if off for say 30 minutes, TV does come on.

LED and OLED TVsWhat baffles me is that Samsungās factory remote does work without error, e.g., a deep sleep.
To me the culprit is the Apple TV.
FWIW I have uploaded to Apple Tech Support all ā sysdiadnoseā files *and* that these files are now in the hands of the Apple Engineers/Programmers for review *and* that there is an active conversation between Tech Support and these Engineers.
Will try to keep you posted as the results unfold.

LED and OLED TVsSame issue on my side with PS5 and Shield, really annoying.
Tv is good, but user interface and remote are c.r.a.p.
Source selection is really awful, ridiculous we can't do that simply.
Samsung TV plus and unwanted suggestions are really annoying too, amazing we cannot remove all these s..t on a 3k TV.
Having the S95D TV for 2 days, and still not sure I'll keep it or return it.
Perhaps Samsung need to hire competent people who know how to design great user interface.
At least fix the bugs and stupid user interface design NOW.

LED and OLED TVsI believe I have the same issue with a S95D TV and an Amazon FireTv Stick 4k Max.
When I use voice command to turn the TV on (either through the voice button of the stick's remote, or an echo dot linked to the stick), the TV will only turn on if it was not off for too long (I haven't tried to find out exactly how long).
It does work if I use the on/off button on the FireTv remote though, I guess because it also uses IR.
I hope Samsung can fix this soon.

LED and OLED TVsSame issue here. Brand new S95D connected to a newer Apple TV 4k. Won't turn the TV on via the the Apple TV remote, worked perfectly with the previous LG. HDMI CEC is on, software is up-to-date. Now I've to juggle with multiple remotes, like 10 years ago. Please fix this.

LED and OLED TVsSame issue here.
S95D and Q990B with latest Apple TV.
Both connected to the one connect box. Apple TV will turn on the soundbar through the one connect but TV will not come on. Only works temporarily if the tv is reset and is not off longer than an hour or soā¦. Then back to normal, unresponsive behaviour. Most annoying.
@communityuser4e0rfoe team. Any updates on this?

LED and OLED TVsSame issue. Just buy brand new S95D connect my Apple TV 2022.
HDMI CEC is on on both devices. I can turn on and off for a couple of minutes but after maybe 30 minutes, the Apple TV can turn on the S95D anymore.
All worked perfectly on my old Sony AF9.

LED and OLED TVsIām somewhat relieved that this seems to happen across the full range of 2024 Samsung TVs, even the flagship TVs such as the S95D. And not only the ālifestyleā The Frame TVs.
Letās hope that with enough customer complaints it will get the attention of the product development team and that there is no hardware limitation that prevents this problem to be fixed.
Is there a formal way of filing a bug report in addition to this forum?

LED and OLED TVsSame. Turning on the Apple TV which is plugged into HDMI 1 on the One Connect Box of my new S95D will turn on the Samsung 990B sound bar which is plugged into the eARC port on the OCB. However, the TV remains off.
Turning the Apple TV *OFF* does turn off both the TV and the sound bar the way it should.
As folks are noting here, if the TV was turned off CEC will work to turn it on within a few minutes, but not longer than that.
Clearly this is a bug that needs to be fixed. Same cable and sound bar worked properly for CEC on my previous Samsung TV (QN95B) which my new S95D replaced.
