Confused about the Now Bar

So firstly the phone is a beast compared to my previous one.

Anyway. 

So the Now Bar for "Sports from Google," wasn't working when I first got my phone. Used ChatGPT to kind of help me figure out what could be an issue. Both of us just stumped.

I always have AOD switched to "On" (as it is right now). It isn't On, screen is just black. I just happened to glance at my phone just now, Sports notification for one of my teams for a game tonight, just showed up. 

What is going on?

TLDR; AOD works OOB. Now Bar doesn't work OOB. Changed nothing settings wise. Now it's reversed.

Well I spoke too soon, cause before the game even started. Now Bar stopped showing the game stats. Womp

So all of those work fine, "Now Bar Works," what doesn't work is Live updates for any of the Sport teams I'm following.

Update....

I may have fixed it. Not sure if it's temp or not. I went to settings and removed my google account (main account). Restarted my phone, then added it back in. Now Sports by Google are showing up under Live Notifications, along with live scores and updates.

That seems a lot to have to do to get the stupid thing to work right.
