My S25 Ultra was just on my table and then, with no warning, suddenly rebooted into Safe Mode. On boot, all my widgets were gone. Once I restarted into regular mode, the widgets remained missing and even taking the phone off of airplane mode multiple times didn't resolve my "Emergency Calls Only" signal issues. I had to restart the phone a third time before I was able to get calls and texts again and access the internet with data. However, my widgets remained gone and I had to manually add them back.

Not sure why this happened. I did a diagnostic test on the device (using in-Settings diagnostics) and everything came out fine.

While I haven't experienced the reboot into safe mode, I did have to use safe mode for something else. I couldn't believe all my widget stacks didn't come back. This has never happened before.

This just happened to me on my S25+. No idea what's happening. A lot of my system settings have reset as well.

My  3 week old (second one) S25+ screen flashes on and off several times and restarts 3 times and then goes into safe mode.  I will be on my 3 phone next week.  What is causing this issue?

Try to clear the cache partition, if you don't understand, you can read the guide here.

Can anyone tell me how to put my S24 in safe mode? All links to this seem to have been deleted.

This has been an ongoing nightmare for months. I'm now on my fourth Samsung S25 Ultra. The first one, bought directly from Samsung, started crashing within days. I reached out for warranty support, but instead of a replacement, I was told to return it and repurchase. That phone was later stolen after I returned it and I didn't get the refund.

The second S25 Ultra began crashing again almost immediately. Neither Samsung support nor T-Mobile could offer a real solution. All I got were the usual scripted responses: reset the phone, clear the cache, restart it again. It was obvious they had no clue what was really going on.

Still determined, I bought a third one from a T-Mobile store, hoping the firmware might be different. Same issue. No change. Out of desperation, I ordered a fourth S25 Ultra from Samsung and went to extremes: I created a completely new Google account, manually exported all my contacts, messages, and photos, and started from scratch. And after all that... the phone crashed again today, just two days in.

I’m completely exhausted. There are no Samsung stores I can visit for real support, and the people on the other end of the line are powerless. I’m tired, angry, and defeated. Against my will, I feel like I’m being pushed toward the one thing I never wanted: switching to iPhone.

I have an s24 ultra that did the same thing. I wasn't on my phone for maybe 15 minutes while at the dog run, go back to my phone, and it's all of a sudden not letting me in like normal.... weird. so I put my pin in. says starting up (if I remember right), and now my theme is gone, all my settings (like typing.... I normally have auto capitalization deactivated) and icons seem bigger? where is my moon phase widget on the home screen, and my sparkle lock screen? I didn't even know how to get out of safe mode! had to Google it. I honestly dont even know what app I am in now, just clicked on a link in chrome and here I am, the link opened up something with an 'M'. that or this is just what my phone looks like now.... reminds me of my old iPhone. so what the heck happened???
