Google Voice app notifications not working for SMS and missed calls

Hi. After the last update from Verizon(security patches) on my S24+, I stopped receiving notifications from the Google Voice app about SMS and calls. I have tried to reinstall the app, reset all notifications, but nothing works. My wife is on S21 running Android 15 and has the same Google Voice app version, and it is working fine. 

Does anyone have Google Voice and notifications working?

Fwiw, I have Google Voice on my OnePlus 13 running OxygenOS 16. I sent & received messages this morning. Notifications are working just fine.

It's possible there's something in the Verizon update that messed up the GV app. Did you wipe device cache after the update?

That is my point. It seems to relate to Samsung UI8 Android 16. I just installed it on my work Pixel 6 and GV notifications are working.

Understood. Did you wipe device cache in recovery?

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

Maybe Verizon broke it on purpose, I wouldn't put it past them. The posters absolute refusal to contact Google is mind boggling.

I just set up a Google Voice account on my S25U running Android 16 November security patch. No problems with receiving text messages in either Google Messages or Google Voice app.

I did have a problem getting the code to enter, it was going straight to Blocked and Spam. Once I got the code, it worked as it should.

Thank you for doing it. I do not have a problem receiving SMS, I do not get notifications for new messages. My GV is set up to send emails (forward SMS to email), and this is how I know I get SMS, but it was working fine before the Nov patch.

You neglected to say this in your post, you said notifications. You didn't say forwarded through Email.

Yes I have done it. I also uninstalled the app. Rebooted the phone and installed the app again. Granted all permissions again and still not getting sms notifications.
