Google Voice app notifications not working for SMS and missed calls

Hi. After the last update from Verizon(security patches) on my S24+, I stopped receiving notifications from the Google Voice app about SMS and calls. I have tried to reinstall the app, reset all notifications, but nothing works. My wife is on S21 running Android 15 and has the same Google Voice app version, and it is working fine. 

Does anyone have Google Voice and notifications working?

I have. How is it working in your mind when GV works on many devices except Android 16 on Samsung after the last security update?

If you reach out to Google through the Playstore they might be able to help you. Maybe Verizon did something that broke it. They tinker with the update too, as they are the one that pushes the update to your phone.

Why are you so reluctant to take the advice you were given twice.

Do you actually read when I said "I have. "? Verizon does not control Samsung patches. Verizon delivers them. All installed patches are signed by certificates. If Verizon were to make a change, it would break security.  You people are something.

If Verizon decided they don't want Google Voice to work on your phone using their service, yes they have that power to do so. It has nothing to do with certificates being broken.

Verizon blocks me from using Samsung Cloud on my phone.

What are you talking about? My wife's phone is on verizon. You are talking nonsense. I highly doubt verizon blocks you. Aren't you so special.

Tap on your Samsung account on the settings page. Do you see Samsung Cloud there?

If you do, I apologize. If you don't it is because Verizon blocks it so that you buy cloud storage from them. The only Samsung Cloud I have access to is a temporary 30 day backup. I use to be able to back up just my settings on that page.

Verizon removed it on my factory unlocked device. Verizon is the only carrier that has done so.

Verizon blocks a lot of services and settings that people on other carriers are able to use, especially if you have a Verizon branded phone.  Many carriers restrict some settings and access to some apps on their firmware, and some features even on factory unlocked devices.  Verizon is the most restrictive of the carriers.

 

The whole world is not walking backwards except you, so if multiple people are all telling you the same thing, perhaps it's in your best interest to listen.
