Notification Sounds Not working - other sounds do

All of a sudden my notification sounds (ie.:  text messages, blink camera notifications) etc. stopped working.  The ringer still works and it plays music.  I've done all the standard checks, nothing works.

Have you checked the expanded volume panel? Your ringer, music and system sound is separate from your notification sound.

You can open the expanded panel by pressing a volume key and tapping the 3 dots at the top of the slider.

The same thing is happening to my phone barely a year old notification sounds not coming in through Samsung SMS and Google messages even Facebook Messenger I have to manually go into the app to see if I have any messages and I've called my carrier, and Samsung and it's still not working it's been about a month.

Do you have a Galaxy Watch paired to your phone by any chance? I had the same issue after the upgrade and I tired everything from clearing cache on apps, resetting the settings, clearing phone cache, and finally factory reset without luck.

tl;dr: there is a setting to show notifications between the devices. It was set to "smart" decide which device, when I selected show on both everything worked again! You can quickly verify this by just disabling Bluetooth. My hours of frustration will hopefully help you! I was literally going to buy an S25U lol.
