Hulu app not working, Hulu says it’s a Samsung software issue error DEV302 TS207

This TV has a software issue. I had a Samsung tech come out reboot the entire TV and the software was stuck on 2020. We found the update to 2024 and the error code still Persist. I called Hulu. explained the issue And they are adamant that this is a Samsung software issue. On this device, the Hulu app cannot be uninstalled and then reinstalled it also cannot clear the cache.

I always recommend to use a streaming device, especially a Google TV device. Apps are regularly updated by the apps developers.

Walmart makes an amazing Google TV that is very reasonable priced. The added benifit,benefit, it has a built in speaker that will give you hands free voice control.

Samsung has chosen to base their TV OS on Tizen rather than Android, and so proprietary software means devs must develop specifically for Tizen. The smaller user base often means Samsung TVs are lower priority for development.

As Robin said, Google TV development is higher priority and devices receive regular app updates, often getting new features first. And honestly, it's just hard to beat as far as an intuitive TV experience.
