@allmembers

I normally don't do this, but for someone who has been a Samsung fan for years, this situation is ridiculously bad and expensive

I purchased the Galaxy Watch7 back on Nov 24, 2024 @ $74 with a $200 trade in of my perfectly durable watch4 classic. I live in Philadelphia so it's winter time. The watch has worked flawlessly. But, recently back in June 2025, I went "swimming" in a 3ft pool with it on. By the end my time the watch "overheated" and shut down. The screen kept going on a cycle until the battery died. I contact Samsung care and sent the watch in. Now im being charged $220 (almost 3xs the original purchase price minus the trade in) to repair the watch because the "Manufacturer warranty" doesn't cover physical or liquid damage. A watch made in 2024 with a 5ATM/IP68 rating gets defective at 3ft of water! That's not user error, that's Manufacture error. How does Samsung advertise a watch doing all this sports things and the watch goes bad well within the perimeter of it's claim.

I need some help on trying to resolve this issue. I'm now down 2 watches (my 4c and 7) plus what I paid for the 7. COME ON SAMSUNG LETS DO THE RIGHT THING!

As with any warranty, only the defective part gets repaired - in this case, the seal. Incidental damage from the failed part is never covered unless you have insurance. This is standard language for warranties of any product, and the part that most people don't understand. It's usually explicitly spelled out. Just buy a new watch rather than repair it. It's cheaper.
