Yes, using a different app *is* a solution. The fact is that you can use any app you want to use the services that you want. Samsung went with what everybody has been requesting for years - the ability to record calls. That they implemented a bad design is unfortunate, but if one does not want that capability and there is no option to disable it or get rid of it, the solution is to use another app, not have Samsung redesign everything to accommodate you. Anything that solves whatever problem you have is, by its very nature, a solution.

If this is the only solution, and it hasn't been not addressed by Samsung, perhaps a more fitting approach is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the States Attorney in your state. I Samsung installed an app to record conversations, is it just stored on your phone or somewhere else? Why is there no option to opt out or disable this feature?
I too have the problem, nearly every time I have a long call and have to hold the phone up to my face, I accidently hit the icon to start recording. This is a ridiculous problem that I can not find a solution too. I'm sorry, but switching to Google phone is a horrible solution.

I found the solution download Google phone from your play store then within your settings make the Google phone The primary source to make phone calls. Remove old Phone app and just use Google phone and it no longer has a record feature
