I updated to one UI7 last night and now my battery while on idle is draining extremely fast.

Had I known this would be an issue I would have never updated to this crappy software.

This is a major issue and like I said I can notice the extreme battery drain while the phone is idle.

If Samsung doesn't fix this issue I will be filing a claim as to me this is now a defective item that they caused.

Not best to run that low percentage as for ui7 it does have new features and things running

It looks like OneUI 7 on the S24 ultra has some battery draining issues.

These are taken from Battery Tracker from Good Lock

AOD is completely turned off and battery usage is restricted

Also turned off and battery restricted

Significant increase in battery usage compared to 6.1

And this isn't all of them. This is just a few examples. There's definitely a software issue that causing apps that are either diabled or turned off, and all battery usage restricted, to somehow still use battery in the background

How long did you download it? That's expected In the first week of downloading the update. Your phone has to learn the usage again

I downloaded it the day it was released globally. Apps that are disabled and have battery usage restricted shouldn't be affected by learning usage patterns

Still won't matter. As a whole, with new OS updates, your phone always relearns your usage. Now if 2 weeks gone by and it's still doing the same thing, then yes it's an issue with the update

Did you perform a wipe cache partition after updating?

Did you check for a Google Play System update?

Did you look for app updates, especially Samsung and Google apps?

Do you have Good Guardians installed on your phone, with the app booster module to optimize apps?

All of these things will help with battery life.

It takes about 10 days for your device to relearn your usage pattern after major updates.

I have an S25U and I do these things routinely on my device.

This is my battery page info. This is pretty stellar iIMHO!1744906871348.jpg

I do complete factory resets for major updates.

Google play up to date

All apps up to date

I use app booster once a week

The issue for me isn't having to relearn usage patterns. it's apps that are completely disabled and have battery usage restricted are still running in the background, an issue that didn't occur in 6.1

How long is your battery lasting?
How much SoT are you getting?
Do you have to charge you phone more than once a day?

Just to give you an idea. Video calls might drain 5% in about an hour. Last night it drained 15% in 20 minutes

Mine is draining faster after the update as well. Battery life was better on the beta. My phone also gets a little warmer
