The recent update Version: One UI 7.0 SUCKS. Immediately after the install and reboot I get the error "MM SIM 1 not allowed" But it worked fine literally right before the update.

And apparently, there's no way to revert it. So my phone is messed up. Can someone more knowledgeable tell me how to remove this update. I am ready to throw it out the window and smash every Samsung device I have.

I've been on the phone with support, they were no help.

Multiple Apps are now crashing and my battery is draining super fast. I've reset to factory settings. The update is still there and so is the error and all the other bugs.

My carrier says nothing is wrong with my account and the sim card worked perfectly right before this update. And the SIM works fine if I put it in my other phone. How does an update mess up so badly?

At this point the phone is useless to me so I don't care if I have to root it to get rid of this **bleep**ty update, but I'd like to try something else first...that I haven't already tried.

That's the feeling I'm getting at this point. I'm in Colombia and everything I've read said this update is only available here for certain Samsung phones. The S24+ isn't even available for sale here, so that could be the issue. BUT, it wasn't an issue 2 days ago before my phone was forced into this stupid update. Now, what WAS working fine is now broken, and I'm back to my good 'ol Nokia. I'll never buy Samsung again because of this. I'm super upset that I paid what I did for this paper weight.

So let me get this straight you bought a US phone to use in a foreign country and you're blaming Samsung for not being compatible?

Well, considering I bought a Samsung phone, from Samsung (a Korean company) who provides phones directly from the manufacturer (Samsung), carrier unlocked and internationally compatible, Yes, I'm a little upset with Samsung.

What you did was buy a phone that was not available in your area because you wanted something your friends didn't have. You know there would be issues from the beginning. You said so yourself that your carrier had trouble registering the IMEI. U.S. model phones will work everywhere, provided they were provisioned by a U.S. carrier initially. Your carrier was not rolling out updates to a phone that is not available in your country, because - ummmm - IT'S NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY. If your phone is now incompatible with your *foreign* network, that's on YOU, not Samsung. Get a U.S. carrier SIM until such time the phone is available in your country. Any other issues about compatibility, please look for a community in your geographic area, as we can only help with U.S. based carrier compatibility.

I'm American. I bought the phone when I lived in America, from Samsung as a carrier unlocked for for international use. The phone should work internationally, and it did without a problem until this update. I just checked the South American Samsung site and this phone has been available in Colombia for some time, although when I moved here it was not. But thanks for your opinion and suggestions.

It will work internationally, *when provisioned to a U.S. carrier*.  You take your chances by registering it with a foreign carrier, especially if it's a model that is not available in the country in question.  Again, look for a community in your geo area, as you may get better answers, and maybe even a solution.  It's no matter to me if you are done with Samsung, that's your choice.

I am not incorrect.  I travel extensively and have no issue with my phone working in any foreign country I travel to.  My phone is provisioned to T-Mobile and, when roaming, attaches to partner carriers in other countries.  I do not even have to add a foreign carrier's SIM (unless I want to make calls that don't cost 25 cents/minute). Since my actual phone call activity is minimal when abroad, it has not been an issue.  Text and data work.  Perhaps if I was in Antarctica, I'd have an issue, but not in the populated world.  Even international phone versions will work everywhere when provisioned to T-Mobile.  As for buying a U.S. model phone and then going off to live abroad, that may pose problems if the carriers in *that* country do not support the phone model.

There is a way to revert but Samsung mods wont let me post it here.

And, rightly so.  Doing so would void any warranty that still exists on a user's phone and make it no longer eligible for any updates whatsoever, including security updates.  So, why would Samsung moderators allow you to help destroy someone's phone?
