The recent update Version: One UI 7.0 SUCKS. Immediately after the install and reboot I get the error "MM SIM 1 not allowed" But it worked fine literally right before the update.

And apparently, there's no way to revert it. So my phone is messed up. Can someone more knowledgeable tell me how to remove this update. I am ready to throw it out the window and smash every Samsung device I have.

I've been on the phone with support, they were no help.

Multiple Apps are now crashing and my battery is draining super fast. I've reset to factory settings. The update is still there and so is the error and all the other bugs.

My carrier says nothing is wrong with my account and the sim card worked perfectly right before this update. And the SIM works fine if I put it in my other phone. How does an update mess up so badly?

At this point the phone is useless to me so I don't care if I have to root it to get rid of this **bleep**ty update, but I'd like to try something else first...that I haven't already tried.

I experienced same problem, accidentally upgrade UI 7.0 of Samsung, my Esim card stop working.  Samsung service is awful.

There is no accidentally upgrading.  Updates are compulsory if your phone is eligible.  You may be able to hold off for a short time, but eventually they will be installed.  Do you have a carrier branded phone or a factory unlocked phone?  If you have a carrier phone, you have to contact your carrier for help with the eSIM and update issues.  All updates go from Samsung to the carriers, who then tweak them for their networks and then the carrier sends the updates to their uses (this happens regardless of locked or unlocked phones). It is possible that after the update, your carrier needs to reprovision your phone.  Samsung cannot help you with this, as all SIM/calling issues are carrier issues, unless there is something physically wrong with the hardware.  You can run a diagnostic on your phone.  Diagnostics can be found in the device care settings of your phone.  You can try resetting the mobile network :  settings/general management/reset/rest mobile network settings.  On the chance that the update was somehow corrupted, if resetting the mobile network does not work, you can factory reset your phone and restore your backup.  Try  the diagnostic first, then reset the mobile network, then contact your carrier.  If none of that helps, try the reset.

Take out the sim, reboot to recovery, factory reset, put sim card in, boot device. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿป
This is a known glich with oneui 7 update and may have definitely fried your sim card. If a factory reset does not bring the sim card back, you will need a new sim card.

Seriously, OneUI 7 'fried' the SIM card? That's your best diagnosis of the problem? I also have a similar problem. The SIM card was working fine until OneUI 7 'fried' it. No other SIM card (VZW, ATT, TMO) I tried would work on my device (SM-S928U1) with the forcibly installed OneUI 7! These same SIM cards work just fine in other devices. I have spent countless hours with network carriers and Samsung support reps, all to no avail. In fact, I've done 5 factory resets! Samsung simply botched the OneUI 7 update, and they have to own up and fix it. ๐Ÿ˜ก

So, it didn't actually fry the SIM card, but may have done something to damage the SIM port.  A fried SIM card will not work in any device.  Do a diagnostic on the SIM.

I've run the diagnostic tests several times. Here's the results of one done a few minutes ago.1748312846488.jpg1748313127293.jpg

Hi there

I'm new to this and I hope you get things sorted.

I read before I've actually bought the Samsung Galaxy 24S phone that it was found to actually be unsupported after 2024 because of it not being an EU phone ? Check Google _ I'm old school so please understand I'm illiterate on any technical issue - but hopefully it'll answer why it automatically stopped working on one Sim .
