Microphone one stopped working

After latest update my mic no longer works. 

No hey google, no voice recording, no voice text. 

Narrowed it down to mic one. No idea how to fix.

If it is software a definite fix would be a factory reset Samsung offers a 30-day cloud storage it'll back up all the apps and all your settings and everything else on the phone and save it to the cloud then you can do the factory reset and then recover from that

Same issue. Have tried restoring from backup but this hasn't resolved the issue. There are a few threads with people suffering the same issue since the last update a day ago

This is unacceptable.   I had to give up my note for an s25 ultra... this mic thing is a deal breaker... fed up with      how much I have to sacrifice this time around.!!!!

So I have read a dozen articles pages and forums with no answer... 

 Now I see where it is and feel stupid as **bleep**!

This is in Android 16

  

as compared to the location in the older android 13!

Apparently they moved it to the bottom of the screen next to the bottom icons.   
Seriously wasted hours...
