After updating my Galaxy S24 Ultra to One UI 8 (Android 16), I've noticed that some apps occasionally disappear from the Recent Apps screen, even though they are still running in the background.
For example, if I open the Amazon app and then exit it, it sometimes doesn't appear in the Recents view, but when I open it again from the home screen, it resumes exactly where I left off.
This happens with multiple apps, not just Amazon. If I go to the app settings and force stop the app, then open it again, it appears normally in the Recents screen - but later, the issue comes back.
So the app stays active in memory, but it's not shown visually in the Recent Apps list.
Happening to me too. Actually, trying to move this page between browsers, the browsers vanished.
This paired with apps forgetting where I was/rebooting completely when I exit and re-enter them (making Photos super irritating) and Modes and Routines settings being totally locked has me pretty annoyed atm, what's up with this...
I bet It's the Samsung RAM cleaner involved: I was on the page of RAM cleaner to check this issue and suddenly my last 4 apps I had opened disappear and my Jellyfin app just stopped playing.
I've enabled RAM-plus again and fully reset device maintenance app via settings. Let's see how it goes.
I've had this same issue on my S24+ since the first One UI 8.0 update. It just becomes annoying to multitask and suddenly one of the apps just vanishes...
