Galaxy S24@userppqJbYvH8U UI 8.5 is only in Beta for the S25 series.
Where did you buy your phone? Does the model name end in "U"? Did you change carriers?

Galaxy S24These retailers have been selling carrier unlocked devices as factory unlocked. This is a problem because these devices are running carrier firmware but are not on the original network.
Long story short, Samsung works with carriers to push out updates, and if your phone isn't running the right firmware, it won't find it if it isnt on the original network.
You have two options:
1) identify the original carrier and obtain a sim from that carrier. Doesn't have to be an active Sim, but does need to be inserted to update. You will have to do this every time you want to update your phone.
2 - recommended) visit a certified samsung repair center and have them flash unlocked firmware on your device. This will effectively make your device factory unlocked rather than carrier unlocked. There will be a fee for this service. Find one near you: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/
Be aware that if you choose option 1 and update OTA, you will likely have multiple stacked updates. You will have to install every missed security update in consecutive order until you are caught up. You may be able to bypass stacked updates by connecting to a PC and running smart switch.
For future reference, it is always best to purchase devices factory unlocked directly from the manufacturer to prevent these kinds of issues.
