I updated my phone, all my contacts disappeared!!

When I updated my phone (s24 ultra) , all my contacts disappeared from my phone, my Samsung account, and my Google accounts. From everywhere!!! How is this possible???? 

Previous uploads was the same, but just some contacts disappeared during the update. And yesterday, all of them! These were very important contacts! What should I do now? How can I restore them? Help me please.

Go into Settings
Click on your Samsung Account Profile
Click Samsung Cloud
Click on Restore data

I had this issue, but it wasn't contacts. It was a folder with links for research purposes and I've been building this list for years.

It should've all been backed up. I don't know how to find it within my backed up files, though.

Samsung Cloud doesn't backup personal files or folders

Files like documents and music are not automatically backed up and need to be handled with a service like Google Drive or OneDrive.

If you had done a smart switch transfer from your old phone to the new one, everyrhing would have transferred over. Your contacts should be backing up/syncing to Google and should have been picked up by the contacts app.
