To Whom It May Concern,

 

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding a Samsung gas dryer I purchased on 7/13/25 from Costco in Brick, NJ. 

Unit: Samsung 7.5 cu ft Smart Gas Dryer w/ Steam Sanitize+ in Platinum

Item: 1598765

 

Less than 100 days after installation, the unit stopped heating.  A service technician was dispatched and restored the heat; however, when the dryer was pushed back into place, the gas line was compromised. Within a few hours, I noticed a strong gas odor in my home and had to address the gas line issue myself immediately to ensure my familyโ€™s safety.

 

Following this repair, the dryer now makes abnormal noises and no longer feels stable or reliable.  For a product that cost roughly $1,000 and is only a few months old, this experience is extremely disappointing and does not reflect the quality and safety I expect from the Samsung brand.

 

My concerns are as follows:

  • The product appears unsafe due to the gas line issue associated with the service visit.
  • The unit now exhibits unusual operational noises after being fully disassembled.
  • I have serious doubts about the long-term reliability and expected lifespan of this dryer.

 

Given the safety implications and the poor early performance of this unit, I am requesting a prompt and thorough resolution.  At a minimum, I am seeking either a replacement dryer or a comprehensive inspection and repair by a senior technician, along with appropriate warranty consideration to account for these issues.

 

Please advise on the next steps and how Samsung intends to resolve this matter. I can provide the model number, serial number, proof of purchase, and service records upon request.
