To whom it may concern:

I am filing a formal complaint regarding my Samsung Bespoke All-In-One Washer/Dryer, which has been defective for almost its entire lifespan. The machine is barely 18 months old, yet it has ongoing, repeated draining system failures that Samsung has never resolved.

1. Proof of Ongoing System Failures

Attached is the SmartThings notification I received at 2:44 AM on November 25, stating:

“Washer – Check the water draining system.”

This is the SAME error I have been receiving since the first 3 months of owning this machine. This is not a one-time issue — this is a continuous defect that interrupts cycles at random times of day and night.

2. Issue Started Within the First 3 Months

I began experiencing:

“Check Drain Filter”

“Check Water Draining System”

Cycle interruptions

Failure to dry

Standing water

Samsung sent technicians who admitted they had no training on the newly released model and blamed my drain hose instead of diagnosing the defect.

3. The Machine Will Not Drain — Clothes Come Out Wet With Rotten Egg Smell

Every single load:

Clothes remain wet or damp

I’m forced to run 3–4 drying cycles

A rotten egg odor fills the drum

The machine leaves standing water inside

I have to manually unclog the internal lint system

This is NOT normal.

This is NOT user error.

This is a product defect.

4. I Now Have to Use a Wet Vac to Drain the Machine

To clear each error, I must:

Pull out the drain hose

Vacuum out dirty water with a wet/dry vac

Remove and scrub the internal filter

Clean soggy lint by hand

This can take up to an hour per load.

This is unreasonable for a $1,500+ premium machine.

5. Samsung Refused Service After the 1-Year Mark

Although this issue started within warranty, when the machine eventually stopped draining completely, Samsung told me the warranty expired and refused help.

I explained clearly that it was an ongoing issue, documented and previously reported — still no assistance.

6. This Machine Should Be Recalled

Samsung’s ventless all-in-one models have known defects with:

Drainage

Moisture buildup

Lint blockages

Undersized internal traps

Failure to fully dry clothes

This is a widespread problem, and it is unfair that consumers are left to deal with the financial and safety consequences.

7. I Am Prepared to Escalate

If Samsung does not correct this, I will move forward with:

A BBB complaint

A Florida Attorney General Consumer Protection complaint

A local news investigation submission

Posting documentation across consumer forums and social media

8. Requested Resolution

I am requesting one of the following:

A full replacement with a vented model

A full refund

Repair at Samsung’s expense, acknowledging this defect began within warranty

This is a defective product. I should not have to continue living with a machine that cannot perform basic washing and drying functions.

I expect a prompt and fair resolution.

Sincerely,

Chavon

This is a peer-to-peer user help forum.  Making demands for Samsung to resolve something is futile here, as there is no one here from Samsung who can address your issues.  You will have to contact Samsung Service.

I see you state that these defects began within the warranty period, which implies that your unit is now out of warranty.  Why did you not contact Samsung during the warranty period at the first sign of issues?  If you are now out of warranty, any service call you initiate will be a paid repair.  They have no way of knowing/verifying, other than your say-so, that this started during the warranty period.

Thank you for responding. I understand this is a peer-to-peer forum, but I’m sharing my experience for awareness because this is clearly a widespread defect, not an isolated issue.

To clarify your question:

1. I did contact Samsung within the warranty period — multiple times.

The draining error started within the first 3 months of ownership.

Samsung sent out two technicians who openly admitted they were unfamiliar with this newly released model and simply blamed the hose length instead of diagnosing the actual problem.

The issue never went away.

2. Samsung had full notice of the defect while it was still under warranty.

I continued reporting the error, but each time I was given the same advice or told the machine was “operating normally.”

By the time the issue became constant and the machine stopped draining entirely, the warranty period had ended — but Samsung was already aware this was an ongoing issue.

3. Samsung refusing help now doesn’t change the fact that this started DURING warranty.

The burden shouldn’t fall on the consumer to repeatedly beg for help when Samsung’s own technicians failed to diagnose the problem the first time.

Documented, continuous defects are still Samsung’s responsibility, even if their own delays pushed the warranty timeline.

4. This isn’t “my say-so” — I have SmartThings logs and service records showing early errors.

SmartThings notifications dating back to early use

Multiple “Check drain system” logs

Technician notes from Samsung's own service visit

Photos/videos of the manual draining I’ve had to do

The 2:44AM error shown just today

This is not a case of someone suddenly claiming a new issue after the warranty expired. Samsung was informed, failed to fix it, and now refuses to stand behind their product.

5. I posted this because many people are having the SAME issue, and Samsung needs to acknowledge it.

Ventless Bespoke all-in-one units have known problems with:

Drainage

Moisture sensors

Internal lint buildup

Cycling failures

Clothes not drying

Repetitive “Check draining system” errors

Consumers deserve to be aware — and Samsung needs to address it.

I appreciate the feedback, but I’m not here to argue; I’m here because this is a defective product and customers deserve transparency.

When Samsung sends out a warranty service request, they are not sending their own repair people, they are sending the repair order to a contracted, certified repair service.  If the repair technicians they sent were not yet trained on the new models, the repair service should have sent out technicians who were.  You have a right to be angry and to escalate however you see fit, but this is not the forum where you can do it.  Your post was not phrased as a warning for others to steer clear, but rather as a demand for Samsung to take specific actions.

You may have some luck with corporate escalation and resolution by emailing the CEO - which is really an escalation team under the direction of the CEO.  They have the authority to resolve issues or stick a pin in the butt of the service department.
