QLED and The Frame TVsI recently purchased a 2024 QN85 QN90C. Even with Picture Clarity turned OFF, I still get the soap opera effect on movies and shows. I've tried other settings in Custom Mode with some adjustments but does not make a difference. The only way I can get rid of it is to go to Movie or Film Maker Modes, which are always too dark for me. I prefer Standard Mode. Other issues are a dramatic change from dark settings to lighter settings, like going from a scene inside a house to an outdoor scene. It actually hurts my eyes from the contrast. When I try Movie or Film Maker Mode, the darker scenes are so dark it almost blacks out the screen and can't make anything out. After researching several articles, I'm wondering if I have a faulty TV now. Considering getting rid of it and hoping the LG G4 or Samsung S90D OLED's would give me a better viewing experience.

QLED and The Frame TVsThe effect would be the motion, in the settings you should be able to turn down the motion smoothness.

QLED and The Frame TVsThere is nothing labeled Motion Smoothness. There is a Clear Motion Mode, either off or on. I will double check the menu.

QLED and The Frame TVsHas anyone solved this yet? I bought a QN90D and it always looks like itās motion smoothing. Iāve turned every feature off, and nothing seems to help. Did a factory reset, same issue. Tried all the picture modes (movie, film maker, etc.) and the picture still looks smoothed. Is the TV just broken or something??

QLED and The Frame TVsSame here, been playing with different settings as well as a full factory reset, but no difference, still stays on soap-opera looking display. My set has some other odd issues, like not loading different apps and locking up to a black screen, so I have to turn the set off then back on. Also when changing channels or apps, the display will be very blurred for 10-15 seconds before clearing up. I'm looking at calling in for customer/tech service and do a claim for a repair. The set is only one year old so I asked about trading in for an upgraded model and Samsung would only allow $150 for the set, so I guess that's not an option. I've been looking at the Samsung S90D OLED, but my confidence level with Samsung is pretty low right now. Will see if a repair or service call will resolve the issues, or if not, I'll be looking pretty hard at the LG G4 OLED.
