I have a Samsung q8f 50 inch Samsung tv. It won't recognize my Nintendo switch 2, which was recently released on June 5 2025, my tv won't recognize that it's a Nintendo switch 2, I can still play it though but it won't activate game mode. I don't know if Samsung has made an update that recognizes the Nintendo switch 2. My tv can easily recognize my Xbox series x, ps5 and Nintendo switch 1, and it activates game mode instantly, help please and thank you

QLED and The Frame TVsQN90B owner here.
It did work (albeit recognised as a Switch 1 and not Switch 2), I had a system update today and also unplugged everything and now the TV won't recognise it.
It's recognised my Switch 1, Chromecast with Google TV and PS4.
Seemingly not Samsung's fault, but it's crazy you can't set it manually.

QLED and The Frame TVsI am having the same issue. I have a Samsung OLED and the source says HDMI 2 instead of Switch 2. I’ve tried everything, updated both the Switch 2 and the TV, unplugged the HDMI and cycled everything through and it does not recognize it at all.
what stinks is I can’t use 120hrz or 1440p and HGiG so the HDR cannot be set properly. I wish there was a solution to this.

QLED and The Frame TVsI'm not sure on the firmware for your TV, but on my 90B I can edit the connected device and chose "Game Console" and edit the name to Switch 2, for convenience. It also puts an icon on the "Game" home screen too.
Then I go to settings so I have the settings bar at the bottom and set Game Mode to "Auto" and the game mode bar comes up when I hold the play/pause button and the resolution is 4k according to the info bar at the top.
Once you've done this and the Switch 2 is on and the TV is in Game Mode you should be able to goto Connections>>Game Mode Settings>>HDR Tone Mapping and then you can select "Game HDR" which is the HGiG setting, if it's not already on.
On the settings bar at the bottom of the screen it also confirms that Game HDR is on.
I hope this makes sens!

QLED and The Frame TVsS95C here, same issue. Tried every fix I could find for switch 1/2, factory reset and a factory reset performed remote by Samsung support which was supposed to be more thorough. Also "power drain" disconnecting everything for 15 minutes. Nothing helped.
The combination of Switch 2 displaying HDR + Input signal plus/game mode on results in "HDMI: No Signal". The switch is not recognized as it should so something with the CEC handshake is broken here. Samsung support actually called me back and told me basically "don't bother" and just wait for an update to fix it. Which is so so bad with a TV this new.

QLED and The Frame TVsI hate having to turn Input Plus off every time to use the Switch 2 and change it back so other devices, like Apple TV 4K have HDR.
Please Samsung and Nintendo resolve this issue!

QLED and The Frame TVsSame issue for me - never had a problem with the Switch 1 on my Serif tv but the Switch 2 won't connect reliably. I have been able to use it okay until now, but it will always say connection not found and I'll need to go manually pick up the switch, wake it up, and put it back in the dock before it connects. Today it won't connect AT ALL, no matter what - it will only recognise it for a few mins before disconnecting. Using official HDMI and everything.
