[Firmware is current.] I have one input into my QN90F: HDMI 1.  This is my Denon AV tuner, into which are all my components.  I've had this TV since March, and this problem started about a week ago.

When I start my system for the day, I turn on my AV tuner and let it finish the process, then I turn on the TV.  In the past, no matter what input the AVR was set to, the TV found it.  Starting a week ago, when I turn on the TV and select the Xfinity DVR, the TV cannot find it and reports a connection failure.  If I switch the input on my AV tuner to Roku or any other input, the TV finds it.  Even if I select another input then go back to the Xfinity DVR, the TV will not connect to it.

The only way to get the TV to connect to the AV tuner when the Xfinity DVR is the input is to physically unplug then replug the TV.  Just one second of unplug is enough.  I have to do this every day when I turn on the TV.

An interesting concern, Cglenn; Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm glad you confirmed that the firmware has been updated to the current version. We have a few things for you to check to see if it helps. First things first, I recommend performing a power reset on the TV. Helps solve the majority of concerns and provides a reset for the firmware to function properly. To do this, unplug the TV power for about 1 minute and plug it back up. Next, check or adjust HDMI-CEC (Anynet+) Settings. This feature helps external devices sync up with the TV. To do this, follow the directions below with our remote.
left directional button > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device
Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). (If already on, try toggling it off and on)

After your update, it is possible that the Input Signal Plus feature was turned off. If the Input Signal Plus is off, the HDR signals sent from an external device cannot be received. To check this, follow the directions below.
Home button > left directional button > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device > Manager > Input Signal Plus.

Please try these steps and report back your findings in this thread so we can further assist you. Thank you.

For some reason my reply appears to not have been posted.  Before trying your suggestions, I replaced the HDMI cable with another (identical, 10K 8K 4K HDMI Cable 48Gbps 6.6 FT, Certified Ultra High Speed HDMIยฎ Cable 4K 240Hz 144Hz 120Hz 8K60Hz 0.01ms HDR10+ eARC HDCP2.3).  Also, before turning off the TV over night, I changed the display brightness to a brighter one.

This, for two mornings, has fixed the issue.  I'll try leaving the TV at a dark night setting for tomorrow's restart to see if it is the cable itself, which was purchased just this past June).

My Anynet+ was on, but I did toggle it per your suggestion, and Input Signal Plus was on for HDMI 1.  I did the one minute unplug before I posted this problem, but I did do it again 2 mornings ago.

Update:  The problem now appears variable.  Yesterday it took 3 unplugs for the TV to recognize HDMI1 when the Xfinity DVR was selected on my Denon.  It acts the same as if the connection were wireless and I was experiencing intermittent WiFi interference, but I don't see how that is possible with the hard wire connection.
