SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR STOPPED COOLING AT 4 YEARS OLD, HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY PURCHASED THROUGH SALES STORE. THEY CAME OUT, ALTHOUGH IT TOOK 2 WEEKS, AND REPLACED THE COMPRESSOR. 4 MONTHS LATER THE REFRIGERATOR IS DOING THE SAME THING, FREEZER STOPPED FREEZING, REFIRGERATOR WARMER THAN IT SHOULD BE. PUT STAND ALONE THERMOMETERS IN FRIDGE AND FREEZER AND THEY READ DIFFERENTLY THAN THE FRIDGE THERMOMETERS. CALLED SAMSUNG AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE A FEE TO SEND A TECHNICIAN OUT TO DIAGNOSE EVEN THOUGH ITS THE SAME ISSUE THAT HAPPENED BACK IN JULY. THEY HAVE THE SERVICE ORDER FOR JULY 2025 IN THEIR SYSTEM FOR THIS FRIDGE AND WANT TO CHARGE A FEE FOR WARRANTY WORK ON A PRODUCT THEY HAVE WARRANTIED FOR 5 AND 10 YEARS FOR THE SEALED COOLING SYSTEM.  SAMSUNG REPS ON PHONE WILL NOT SCHEDULE SERVICE WITHOUT CHARGING A DIAGNOSIS FEE, BUT DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE SERVICE FEE AMOUNT.  I OWN 4 SAMSUNG APPLIANCES WHICH WE SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY ON AND 2 TELEVISIONS, HAVE HAD PHONES, WATCHES, TABLETS, ETC... AT THIS POINT I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A SAMSUNG AGAIN, A $2750.00 FRIDGE STOPS WORKING AT 4 YEARS OLD, THEY REPAIR IT, AND 4 MONTHS LATER IT STOPS WORKING AGAIN AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE A SERVICE FEE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. NOW I KNOW WHY THERE IS A WHOLE FACEBOOK PAGE DEDICATED TO NOT BUYING SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS.  AFTER READING THE PAGE, I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THEM,  THEY DONT BACK THEIR PRODUCTS, STEER CLEAR.

An extended warranty that you purchased through the store is not issued or backed by Samsung.  You have to call the company that issued the extended warranty.  Most repair services have a 90 day warranty on their service, and 4 months is just beyond that, you should have the warranty terms for the repair listed on the "invoice" you had to sign and they should have provided you. You should call the servicer that did the repair to find out.  However, if your extended warranty is still valid, your repair should be covered under the terms of that warranty.  Again, it's not a Samsung factory warranty, it's a third party warranty.  There may still be a charge for certain parts, but the labor and diagnostic should be included in the warranty.  You will have to read your warranty papers for the terms.  Naturally, if you call Samsung, they will consider your appliance out of warranty because the factory warranty expired as far as the labor goes.  The terms of the Samsung closed system warranty is that the PART is covered, not the labor or diagnostic.  This is standard policy.  During the first year of the warranty, you would not be charged a diagnostic fee.  They cannot take your word for it that it is one of the sealed system parts that failed, they have to verify it - and for that, there is a fee.  When you have a warranty, whether it's the factory warranty, or a third party warranty, you have to actually read the terms and all the fine print of what's covered.  If you call the people who hold your extended warranty, there likely would be no service call/diagnostic fee, and if the defect is in the factory warrantied parts, they will look to Samsung to provide the covered part.  However, that being said, since the part had already been replaced, it is no longer a factory installed part, but a replaced part, and you actually don't know if they used a genuine Samsung part.  I know all of this doesn't seem fair, but this is the way it works.  Bottom line is KNOW HOW YOUR WARRANTY WORKS. Read all the terms and the fine print.

One does not have to be old to have visual deficits.  Yes, it's annoying for people to look at what appears to be shouting, especially in a long essay, but some people need to type in caps because they need to see what they are typing.  I don't know, the OP may very well be yelling in frustration, but they might also just be trying to see what they are writing.  The fact that you don't know doesn't make it OK to make an ageist comment.  Just ask, "why are you shouting?" and leave it at that.
