My HW-Q800c keeps shutting off while playing music. Sources are usually through Alexa voice requests, but it does it whether streaming Spotify, TuneIn, SiriusXM, etc. It doesn't shut off on it's own if I'm watching my Samsung TV that it is connected to; it only does it for pure streaming audio. Sometimes it will do it after about 20 minutes, other times it will play for hours with no issue.

Already called support twice, and all they had me do was initialize it and that does nothing. I suspect this is some ridiculous power saving feature, but I can't figure out how to disable it. Thoughts?

From Perplexity AI:

"Your Samsung HW-Q800C soundbar shutting off during streaming audio could be due to several factors:

Auto Power Down Feature: Samsung soundbars automatically turn off if there is no audio signal for 20 minutes in certain modes or after 8 hours of inactivity with AUX input. You can disable this feature by changing the source to AUX and holding the play/pause button for 5-7 seconds until "Off - Auto Power Down" appears on the display.

Wi-Fi Interference: Streaming via Alexa often uses Wi-Fi, which can be disrupted by nearby devices or router settings. Adjusting your router's channels or frequencies may help.

Firmware Issues: Outdated firmware can cause glitches with Alexa integration or streaming apps like Spotify. Updating your soundbar's firmware manually through the SmartThings app may resolve this.

Alexa Integration Bugs: Many users report issues with Alexa and streaming apps on Samsung soundbars. Resetting the soundbar, clearing Alexa app data, and reconfiguring the setup may help.
