Galaxy Watch

Hi! Just got my Galaxy Watch yesterday. And already today it stopped counting steps. It counted a little and then all together quit. I reset it multiple times and after the third time it counted 50 steps and quit again. Any one else is having this issue?

This watch is an absolute disgrace and Samsung should be ashamed.

Apple fixes issues nearly immediately.

EVERY time I count steps, and compare to Watch, if it is not EXACT, it's off by 1 or 2.

Im really beginning to question the accuracy of previous Gear Fit2 Pro.

Even with the new update it still has the same step counting and other health monitoring issues.

Samsung Watch Info:

Model Code (Full):  SM-R800NZSAXAR (SM-R800) Galaxy Watch 46mm (Bluetooth)

Baseband Version:  R800XXU1BRJ4

Partnered Handset Info: (What type of phone the watch is connected to.)

Brand: Samsung

Model Number: Note 9 Unlocked (SM-N960U1)

Android Version: (iOS Version where applicable)

8.1.0 (Baseband version N960U1UES1ARH6)

Discrepancy amount for step counting is about 10-25%.  Determined this by using S3 Frontier and tracked the same amount of steps (and counted them off as well).  S3 Frontier was off only by a couple of steps, vs Galaxy Watch was off by 10-25%.  Heart Rate monitor seems a bit off as well, sometimes higher than expected, and other times lower than expected (I don't think my heart rate is 53 when on average it's around 71, and if I take it again it jumps up to 100).

Battery on the Galaxy Watch seems ok but didn't really test it all day since after the above testing it didn't warrant me wearing it anymore if it wasn't going to track things correctly.  The S3 Frontier on the other hand is getting terrible battery life now where it doesn't last a day anymore.

Hello everyone, I had the same problem with my Samsung watch. After I've updated to the new version of firmware (it running with version final BRJ4) I followed a instruction here from this post (first page if I'm not wrong), disabling in Samsung Health app the automatic detection of Elliptical and Rowing machine. Finally it's working! I'm comparing the steps counts with my cellphone during the day and hopefully will not have so much difference between them. I'll share the data with you later. Hope it helps you guys on solve the problem.

The new 46mm Galaxy Watch I bought today just updated to that. However, despite having it on all day, I see "0 steps" when I check. It literally thinks I haven't taken a single step now... this is so frustrating.
