Awesome Battery Hack for most Galaxy Watches

Did you know, by default, the Samsung Health app and your watch sync constantly for counting steps? You can significantly improve battery life by turning this function off. Go into the Samsung Health app, tap on steps, then tap on the three dots in the upper right hand corner and tap on Frequent Syncing. Turn that off. Since I did this 4 days ago I am seeing about a 33% increase in my battery life. Typically I was getting about a day and a half, now I'm getting over 2 days on my Galaxy Watch6 Classic.

Am I correct in assuming that with the lower sync frequency, there is no loss of step data, day-to-day, independent of the day on which the sync actually occurs (such as before or after midnight)?

With this, the steps on your phone and watch won't show the same amount, right? On the watch, will it need to be done manually? Or will the syncing just be less often?

One thing I did notice is that if you are running your watch with power saving activated, there is no benefit for using this "hack." One of the benefits of power saving is less frequent steps synching, and other synching for that matter. The less frequent synching rate is a big power saving, as well as a slight dimming of the screen and other power reductions. They all add up. I run my watch that way. It extends the use of my battery, cuts down the number of recharge cycles, and I don't mind pushing a button to turn on the display.

Why would I turn on power saving when I can get the same results from the hack I described? This way, I have all the functionality of my watch and the only difference is steps won't be synced as often. Again, why would I use power saving with all its limitations?
