GPS and AOD broken after latest galaxy watch update

Its already been posted here about the AOD being broken with the workout screen after the latest watch update. But it also appears to have affected the GPS accuracy as well. It might not be noticiable for some unless your doing long distance workouts, but my regular runs were typically around 7.1 - 7.15km with great consistancy. And when you looked at the map, the gps tracking lines were always clean and straight, which with the watch 7 is attribured to its dual gps design. But now immediately after the update which had already broken the AOD workout screen for live data, i am getting poor gps tracking lines and the last two runs coming out to over 7.3km for the exact same route. Which it had never done in the past. It feels like they have potentially adjusted the gps settings to try save some battery and sacrificed the gps accuracy as a result.

It is a MASSIVE understatement on how frustrated i am about this new update and has caused me much distress because of how i hate when things mess with my exercuse routine so destructively.

It's really actually suspicious, because this is not the first time this has happened where software updates of a samsung product. Came right before a new model and the software made a product worse or completely broke functions. There was a firmware update for the samsung 990C and 990D samsung soundbar a couple months before the 990F released, which quite obviously deteriorated the sound. A thread here on samsung community was made and many people reported the same audible effect, but samsung made no obvious attempt to acknowledge the issue.

Well.. guess which soundbar i have 😒 with the 1010.5 firmware version. And yes, indeed it sounds flatter. Also the bluetooth connection became worse for my q990c soundbar. I really hope they fix it.

I was unaware of these issues till Sunday when I ran my first half marathon, and when I pressed run the watch did not lock onto my GPS till the first 1.5 miles was over 

Imagine how heartbreaking it is to do your first half marathon and then when it went into Strava it based it on the map and said 18.9km

Does anyone know if the 8 has these issues

Have anybody tried to record a bike workout with the bluetooth disabled on the watch? (Amd wifi and LTE as well). For me with this workaround is recording the proper distantes.

I have tried this with 10km runs and makes no difference, waiting for one UI 8 for potential fix.

It only happens periodically for me. I diactivated auto pause exercise and installed wear gps fix app. Will test it more in the following weeks.

Same issue here, Health app tracking was very precise on the old SW version, now it's all over the place and can double my MTB Ride elevation gain in a mountainous area, which is my every ride. I cannot say which version for sure as I've been holding off on the updates for months for this exact reason. Please fix the issue and give us an option to revert SW version for this exact reason. I will sign whatever statement needed if this option is a "security issue".

This mess here doubled my Elevation Gain for the whole ride.

I have a galaxy watch ultra (2024) on ONE UI 8, august security patch, GPS is just horrible. I did a 27 km bike ride yesterday and it recorded 47 kms, strava even flagged it that it seems I did it in a vehicle.

the watch gets updates like every 4 months, so who knows when it will get fixed. this sunday Ill try the bluetooth fix to see if it makes a diference.

I have the same issue since approximatively 5months.

The new update didn't not fix it.

I tried the steps done by Samsung to try to have a correct fonctionnement but it didn't work.

The speed when biking shows a high speed at 90km/h.

Very disappointed by this product...
