Timer pop up

How do I get rid of this? Every time I back out of the timer, this pop-up appears and I have to close it. Is there any way to get rid of it permanently?

Not that I know of. It doesn't appear for a stopwatch, but that's not very helpful unless you really don't want the pop-up.

Go to the clock app. Timer tab. Tap the dot menu and select settings. Turn off "show mini timer"

Not everyone knows every setting. I use the timer a lot and I actually like the mini timer. It's easily moved out of the way, and I can see the countdown while I'm doing stuff.
