I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and after switching out the sim from my old phone to the S25 FE it says my phone is incompatible with the carrier, I bought the phone unlocked. When I went to my carriers physical store they said the IMEI was incompatible, (my carrier is Cricket (AT&T), and they are saying it needs to be unlocked, so I'm wondering why they are saying that or what is happening? Is it that they haven't received the data from Samsung or is my phone somehow locked while being unlocked?

Have you checked your network status to make sure the device is unlocked?

Is it possible you were accidentally shipped a device that is not factory unlocked? Check device details to make sure your model number ends in U1.

If the phone is in fact factory unlocked and you have the correct unit, it is possible that this is a carrier-side issue.

Yes it is unlocked as it does end with the U1, I've seen some other posts that say it could be on the carrier, so maybe?

This is a chronic problem with Samsung and Carriers not updating IMIE's in a timely manner.

This is not a new problem when buying directly from Samsung, they haven't sent out the IME numbers to all carriers yet. Give it a couple of days and it will be resolved. If doing a trade-in contact Samsung trade-in department and try to get an extension on the trade-in date.

Hopefully it is just this because I just called my carrier customer support number and they basically told me to buy another phone that was compatible with the network, since the IMEI is not compatible

They are trying to get you to buy from them. They know exactly what the problem is, IMIE'S have to be provisioned first before they can be actived.

Verizon will straight up lie to you and tell you that and try to sell one if their devices.

Whether or not Samsung is being slow here is debatable. They know they have to provide the necessary information for a phone to work on any and all carriers on day one. This is AT&T. They are the worst. I recommend you leave them yesterday. YMMV

I wish I could, sadly in the area I live in its the only reliable (although slow) carrier I have, I've tried T-Mobile and Verizon and they have both been dissapointing and unstable
