Galaxy S25

I just received my  new Galaxy S25 Ultra, but when I have the bluetooth turned on in my 2018 Honda Accord, it still rings on my phone.  However, it does show up on the car display, but I don't want it ringing on my phone as well.

I spoke to a Samsung CS rep today that said it's an issue and we have to wait until an update comes out, but he couldn't tell me when and then he promptly hung up on me.  Not sure why?

I had the same issue connecting my S25 Ultra to my 2019 Honda, I plugged it in and the car screen would just say "When safe, check the smartphone". Smartphone had nothing going on.

I eventually got it working by doing the following:

- On the phone: clearing all cache and data for Android Auto (multiple times)

- On the phone: remove the bluetooth pairing for the car

- On the car: remove the bluetooth pairing for any old phones

- Pair the phone to the car again via bluetooth

- Plug in the USB and follow the prompts to set up Android Auto. Be patient as it said "Loading..." for about 45 seconds, even on a brand new S25 Ultra.

I think the issue might have been around using SmartSwitch to transfer settings from the old phone. It brings across old bluetooth settings and old android auto settings that simply aren't usable and need to be wiped.

Hope this helps.

Screenshot_20250206_124553_Settings.jpgI am also having this issue. I can connect to my 2019 Odyssey by Bluetooth, but that limits my ability to use only the built-in Garmin NAV, no Google Maps or Waze. When I try to connect through the AA process, I am only seeing the choice for Wireless (for some car models from 2021 forward) or Bluetooth. When I try to use the car's AA setup, the display says to "When it's safe to do so, check the settings on your phone" or something like that. The only thing I can see that is an option is the USB Connections notification option. You can choose "USB controlled by: Connected device or This device". No matter how many settings I tweak in the Android security settings, I always get the "Couldn't switch" warning on 'Connected device'.

I hope the comment above about a new update coming on the 7th is February 7th, not March 7th. Yes, the phone connects and I can get by without NAV, but Bluetooth is so far below the UX that AA provides. It's just annoying to spend $$$ on a new phone and it doesn't "function" as well as the previous model.

Same here, thought I  was doing something wrong. Hoping the update mentioned above fixes it.

Delete the Bluetooth device from your Car. I had a similar problem with my S23 Ultra. Once I deleted it, even though I was connected to Andriod Auto, I could use my headphones.
