Galaxy S25Howdy!
- Do Not Disturb is TURNED OFF.
- No Modes or Routines are running (there aren't any setup).
- Sound is on.
- Vibrate is on.
- No icons or app badges show up on the top.
- The apps that I am testing with I have confirmed that notifications are turned on.
- All the options are selected for the notification options (Lock Screen, App icon badge, Notification pop-up).
- This happens if the phone is sleeping or awake.
- My old phone is still using Wi-Fi and notifications work fine on that one (other than messages and phone cause that's tied to the SIM). Turning off the old phone and waiting a few minutes and trying on the new phone, same thing happens.
- If I open the offending app, I can see the unread messages.

Galaxy S25Not sure if this is any help, or covered before, i noticed my Galaxy S4 watch was getting notifications. So using Samsung wearable went to notification setting and a number of the apps are set for watch only changed and now getting notifications. I appreciate this might not be the solution for everyone, particularly if you dont have a watch.

Galaxy S25Yeah I'm using a watch to filter the important messages. Still need to use the adb command though. Had an issue where I was trying to log into gmail on my laptop and Google sent the prompt to my s25, which didn't arrive until after the timeout.
Wish samsung would just acknowledge this issue and try to fix.

Galaxy S25Just replying to pile on the complaints about this. I miss notifications from Messages, Snapchat. A reboot seems to fix for a very short time, then nothing. Nada. The most basic things seem the hardest to execute properly.

Galaxy S25Just swapped my S22 for an S25, transferred with SmartSwitch and I'm only getting email notifications, WhatsApp and some Instagram, though none of them are waking the screen or popping up at the top of the screen (options are selected). No notifications for Youtube, X, Twitch or Discord, games, etc. Everything is turned on for notifications both in the general phone settings, in each app's settings, as well as the notification settings within the apps themselves..
I still have the S22 connected to the Wifi so I see everything I'm missing and I'm not happy about it. If this is not fixed soon I'll have to stick to my S22 and return the S25 because this is unacceptable.

Galaxy S25I too used Smart Switch to transfer everything from S23 Ultra to S25 Ultra. At first, no notifications came through. I checked all settings and read every post in this thread. I got everything now working by a combination of things. Toggling sync on and off for Gmail seems to have fixed that app. The others were all a combination of first trying a force stop, then clearing cache and data. If that didn't work, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, enabling the appropriate notification settings. I've always set up new phones from scratch, but this time i took the lazy way out. Hope the rest of you guys get it sorted.

Galaxy S25Well this is extremely disappointing. I should have done some research on the issues if any and might have found this info. Now I really feel like returning the phone and not supporting samsung, my flip 5 was a disaster waiting to happen and now this. Great customer care samsung.

Galaxy S25Same issue as everyone else here. Initially things like whatsapp were not giving notifications at all. I ended up clearing cache and data then reinstalling whatsapp. However this only PARTIALLY fixed it, I now get the notifications most of the time but I will randomly get a silent notification where the lockscreen shows the notification but there was no sound or vibration for it. Seems to happen randomly, most of the time it works then suddenly I look and find I have missed a message because it has popped up but there was no sound.
We have now had 3 firmware updates since launch, as usual samsung can't be bothered to provide a changelog so we have no clue what was SUPPOSED to have been fixed, and clearly none of these updates have solved the issue.
I will NOT factory reset the device and spend hours and hours setting it all up again (which I had to do the first time anyway because smart switch did not move over the vast majority of my logins and settings for apps) and I don't think that would solve it anyway on the basis that completely removing whatsapp has only partially solved it for that app.
This will be the last Samsung device I bother with, I'm done wasting my time on this company who can't get an extremely expensive flagship device to work properly even after 3 monthly updates, and as far as I know has still not even acknowledged the issue, despite dozens of people in this forum alone having exactly the same issues.
