I hope this post helps someone out there dealing with this issue.  Less than 24 hrs after getting my S25+ Samsung Galaxy, my screen would flicker, then the phone would turn on and off several times, and then go into safe mode.  I took it back to the T-Mobile store, and they couldn't figure it out but did a soft reset, and it appeared to fix the problem.  Well, about a week later, it did it again, and back to the store I went.  I asked if it could be an issue with an app, and they said --"NO, Galaxy has safeguards on these new phones...bla bla bla."  They said it must be a faulty phone and gave me a new one.  Everything worked great for about a week, and then the same issue--screen flicker, phone would restart several times, then finally--Safe Mode.  Weirdly, all of my 3rd party apps were all still there and accessible in safe mode--which isn't supposed to happen.

So, to make a very long and frustrating story short, it was indeed an app that was causing this issue!  I had an app from my old galaxy that was once free but now costs money that transferred to my new phone, and that is what was causing all my problems.  Once I removed that app, the phone worked fine.  It was a process--Factory reset--installing a couple of apps at a time, and figuring out which one was the issue.  On a positive note, I did have a reason to delete all the worthless apps that I had downloaded over the years that I didn't need and just took up space.

UPDATE!  Well, never mind about all the joy and happiness, thinking I had solved my phone S25+ issue of going into Safe Mode.  Yesterday the problem started again.  The dreaded flicker, screen turns on and off about 20 times, restarts twice and then finally into Safe Mode!  Arrgggg!

I feel like I need to continue with the updates. So, after this last glitch (above)  into Safe Mode, I was getting ready to do a Samsung Smartswitch reset.  Before I did that I went into my Apps and forced STOP all the apps that were "deep sleeping" to see what would happen.  I shut my phone down completely and walked away from it for a couple of hours.  I fully intended to hook it up to my computer using Smart Switch later that day if stopping those apps didn't work..  However, when I turned the phone back on, it worked just fine.  Now I have read that these phones--S25+ are notorious for overheating, which can cause glitches, and keep in mind, when my phone went into Safe Mode, every single one of my 3rd party apps worked just fine; the things that didn't work were: swipe from bottom to close an app and my battery indicator at the top right was missing--even my weather widget on the home screen worked just fine.

All of this being said, I am not sure if the phone was overheating inside its magnetic case, or if doing a force stop to the "deep sleeping" apps solved the problem (for now), but it is working as normal at present.

Ok, so I have read a lot about these phones overheating and I think that could have been what was happening.  That and the thick magnetic case I had my phone in.  I have reinstalled some of the programs that I ASSumed were causing the SafeMode issue and so far my phone is working fine.  I got a breathable case and I know now that if it goes into safemode, all I need to do is turn it off for an hour or so.

I think the longest I have ever gone with this S25+ not going into safemode is roughly 6-8 weeks.  So I will update in a few months to see if it was just the magnetic case causing it to overheat  and retreating into safemode.

it has to do with the volume button. I had this same issue happen to me just now and after restarting several times with no luck I did a search and found someone else was having this happen with their phone and when they cleaned the volume button, it was fixed. sure enough my volume button had been stuck, when i would press down it would mute instead of just lowering the volume, and when i pressed up it would max out the volume. so i took a bit of windex on a paper towel and cleaned around the button carefully, and fortunately this seemed to do the trick as when I restarted again, safe mode was finally off. I was lucky enough to be able to fix the button just by cleaning it but if this didn't work I probably would have had to get a new phone... I am however going to get a new case for it because the one I had apparently didn't protect the buttons from getting dirty. I hope this helps other people who encounter this!😊

Just curious, did you turn off your phone while you were cleaning the volume button?  I have found that leaving my phone off for a bit will pull it out of safe mode.  In my case, it was most certainly not dirty volume buttons, as my first s25+ did this within 24 hours of activation, and the second s25+ did it less than a month of activation.  I still am struggling with this issued, but turning off the phone seems to reboot it out of safe mode.

Ok, so more on this issue...I was at the T-Mobile store today and we noticed that my phone, yet again in safe mode, is NOT in the normal safe mode but in the ONE UI Safe mode.  This is NOT a mode you can put it into yourself and very different from "safe mode."  It is a UI launcher mode that tells the system that for some reason the UI Home launcher can not launch due to a bad app or a firmware issue.  I installed Nova launcher and the issue persisted.  So tomorrow I will do a Firmware reset with Smart Switch.
