Is there any way to get this notification to GO AWAY permanently? I know that satellite SOS is available, I saw the notification the first dozen times.

Also curious. I want the mode off completely. It messes with my routine where WiFi should be shut off when I get to work to conserve battery life.

It looks like you can only turn it off in the "Emergency" settings if you have Google messages as your default message app. I've been using Textra for years, but just got my brand new S25 a few hours ago--I don't want to switch to Google messages! Not cool, Samsung. Not cool

You Said "It looks like you can only turn it off in the "Emergency" settings if you have Google messages as your default message app."

However, you didn't specify what setting and I've found no such setting to turn it off.

I'm following this, but I have a temporary workaround using Macrodroid. Set your trigger (red) as "Screen Content (On Screen)" and for the text, put the name of any app on your home screen. That means the trigger will fire whenever that word appears on your screen, which presumably happens right when you unlock. Then for the action (blue), set it to Clear Notifications from Phone Services. No need for a constraint.

After you unlock, you'll see the notification for a split second but then it'll go away on its own. Again, not ideal but it's something until they allow the notification toggle for "satelliteChannel" under Phone Services.

If you long press the notification, you will be able to bring up the "Phone Services" app settings. In that menu, go to notification categories and the culprit is "satellitechannel." However, the ability to toggle this notification off is unavailable. So, for the time being, Google has us sick with it every time we turn our location on or off.

Mine pops up every time I restart. Very annoying, feels like a beta build just sloppy.

I work in remote mountainous terrain.  The Satellite SOS messenger notification regularly pops on and off, "available/unavailable" every few minutes as I move through the terrain.  To make matters worse this notification also comes through on my Garmin watch and even if I ask the watch to block it it still continues to come through.  I would like the ability to permanently/completely turn of notifications for this service.

I have found a possible solution. Normally you cannot turn off notifications from certain system apps, but you CAN with the NotiStar plugin for Good Lock, available from the Galaxy Store. (Is there anything Good Lock can't fix on Samsung phones?)

Open NotiStar, tap on Application List, tap on the menu and select Show system Apps, then turn off Phone services.

I haven't seen any new notifications pop up so far today.

A word of caution, however, I have no idea what effect turning this off will have on other phone functions, but Phone and Phone Calls are separate items, so I'm hopeful it won't affect notifications for incoming or missed calls.
