Is there any way to get this notification to GO AWAY permanently? I know that satellite SOS is available, I saw the notification the first dozen times.

Galaxy S25Okay I think I actually figured this out I'm going to try and recreate my steps:
In the settings menu type "SOS"
Click satellite SOS
On the new screen with the picture of the woman holding the phone connecting to a satellite you should see three dots in the top right corner that opens a menu that says "about satellite" Click that
On the next screen click the little eye for information icon in the top right corner
Click "notification categories"
You're now in the notifications menu for the satellite services I turned off sound and vibration but you can also select lock screen and/or notification pop up.
I haven't restarted but hourly this worked!

Galaxy S25I work in remote mountainous terrain. The Satellite SOS messenger notification regularly pops on and off, "available/unavailable" every few minutes as I move through the terrain. To make matters worse this notification also comes through on my Garmin watch and even if I ask the watch to block it it still continues to come through. I would like the ability to permanently/completely turn of notifications for this service.

Galaxy S25Open NotiStar, tap on Application List, tap on the menu and select Show system Apps, then turn off Phone services.
I haven't seen any new notifications pop up so far today.
A word of caution, however, I have no idea what effect turning this off will have on other phone functions, but Phone and Phone Calls are separate items, so I'm hopeful it won't affect notifications for incoming or missed calls.

Galaxy S25I did this and it changed nothing. I still get every SOS notification every time I switch location on or off. even after reboot.

Galaxy S25The only way I NEVER see it is keeping my location off, with that said, when I use my location for maps it pops up. Currently the satellite app does not allow notifications to be disabled but if you don't need your location on it helps at least stop it. I hope to God they fix this.

Galaxy S25Maybe no way to turn off completely but a workaround is to turn the notification off for two hours. Click the notification bell on the bottom right of the notification and choose 2 hours. pain in the ars but at least you have 2 hours.

Galaxy S252/14/2025 (Happy Valentine's Day!)
My S25Ultra just began showing the "Satellite SOS Isn't Set Up" notification today, after installing the Feb 1st Security Patch. Apparently there's more to the update than a mere security patch. I'm on Xfinity Mobile (which uses Verizon's network).
Will do more research before deciding if I should disable this capability. Seems like a helpful safety feature if you have no Cellular or Wi-Fi during an emergency.

Galaxy S25It is not helpful to be notified of this feature every time I restart my phone.
