How to organize text in Google Messages

I typically love all things Samsung but this new Google messages i just Can't!

Is there a way to organize your text messages??

@Smithint honestly with the tip of pinning my important contacts i ended up going back to Google messages I ended up liking the additional features

I'm using Samsung messages right now but then I switch to next SMS from Handcent. Way more customization for me.

I want to separate my work messages from family but with the new Google app, I can't! So annoying. Hope they fix it soon. I already have emergency contacts pinned but I miss how much I could customize on the Samsung messaging app.
