Hate Google messages

I tend to copy/paste my text messages. I cannot do this with Google messaged on an incoming message nor a message I already sent. I really hate that this feature is not available!!! I can only do copy/paste before I send the text out. It makes it a real pain when I want to copy text for a different app. Very unhappy about this. I probably should complain to Google which I will.

I agree, Google Messages make you copy all. My fix for this is to take a screenshot, copy the exact text I want then delete the screenshot.

That's what I've done. It is a big inconvenience though. I'm downloading Samsung's Messages to check it out to see if I like it better.

I am confused. Please explain why you can't copy and paste. I do it just fine. You can even copy multiple sent or received at once.

Mine has after the person's name a phone icon then a video call icon. Maybe I can settings somewhere. I haven't been able to find though.

Some mentioned pressing my finger to highlight the message to get the copy icon. It works now

I use "circle to search" and then copy whatever part of the message you want, instead of copying the whole message
