I agree, but my point of view is about the usage and the way to hold the phone using it's weight to stand while charging .. using a phone while plugged is not a good idea

@ABDERRAZZAK That has been tried in the past, but usability and user preference prevailed. It interferes with holding the phone securely. That would cause the redesign of most car mounts for phones.

A redesigned phone holders with a power adapter might help with phone positionning while charging

I used to have a phone (forget which brand) that had the charging port on top.  I preferred that to the bottom.  It was also back in the days before cameras were anything but utilitarian, and the batteries were smaller, so there was more room to put it there.

The idea is about using the weight of the phone to keep it steady on borad or at home while charging

You could buy a stand like I have. It has a cutout (as most do) for that exact reason.

As I said, you can put a case on your phone, put it face down for charging, use a stand with a cord slot as @Pianodude58 suggested, or just leave it on the table backside down.  It does not wobble unless you are trying to balance it on the camera lenses (never a good idea).  Worst that happens is that when you place it back down, it will lean, not wobble.
