Galaxy S24Long pressing the lock screen is an easy, quick and convenient way to change wallpapers, edit the lock screen apps and widgets and clock. It has been this way for as long as I can remember, it's not a new feature. Yes, one can do it through settings, as well, but this makes it very quick and easy. You ever hear of grabbing your phone by the sides? How tight is your pocket, anyway, that you have to hold to the screen long enough to go into edit mode? You can turn on the AOD, which gives you an extra cover of protection against the accidental long press. You can also put your phone in a holster instead of your pocket.

Galaxy S24No, I actually rarely change my lock screen. It is just a convenient way to access the edit feature. Most of us don't manhandle our phones by grabbing it by the screen. If you are entering edit mode by using the fingerprint scanner, you are pressing too hard on the scanner. It only needs a brief, light touch; certainly not anything hard enough or long enough to trigger the edit mode. Perhaps you need to learn how to properly use the biometric. Of course, now you have discovered the toggle so it shouldn't be an issue for you any longer.

Galaxy S24If you want to disable the "long press to change lock screen" feature on your Samsung Galaxy device, follow these steps:
- Open Settings
- Go to Wallpaper and Style
- Tap on Lock Screen
- Look for the option Change wallpapers with a long press (or similar)
- Disable it
If you donāt see this option, your phone may not have this setting, and you may need to avoid long-pressing the lock screen or use a third-party lock screen customization tool.
Hope this helps! š
