I am having an issue with my Galaxy S24 Plus when trying to use the Smart View app. I'm trying to connect to my Samsung TV but it cannot find the TV. It used to be able to find it just fine, but lately, it has not been working. I am able to get it to show up if I change the input source for the TV to screen share, but I used to not have to do this. Another member of the family has an S25 Plus and they are having the same issue. Has anyone else had this issue lately?
Yes, I used to be able to cast to my TV and tablet. Now I can only used Samsung Flow to connect to my tablet. But I m unable to find any other devices via Smart View. It only happened recently so it must have had something to do with Samsung software system upgrades.
I've been having the same problem for a few months. I was wondering if you recently upgraded your wifi modem like we did? I was thinking it happened around the same time as when we received our new modem from our internet provider. It's so annoying because I use smart view a lot.
Yes, we did recently switch to a different wifi company and we got a new modem. After doing some research, apparently our wifi was "more secure" so I think it was blocking my phone and TV from finding each other automatically. Going to the "remote connection" on the TV forced them to find each other. I talked to our wifi company and had them adjust a few settings on the modem and it seems to be working fine for us now.
