Please stop constraining Bluetooth codec access. Am completely shocked my new S24 can't use aptx adaptive. APTx lossless also needs to be added. Restricting any of this because of your own Samsung codec strikes as the kind of move that prevents from wanting to use apple products. Please unlock Codecs that the Qualcomm chip s built to support.

I didn't realize they don't support other APTx codes until after I was past my return windows which freak-ing sucks. Unless Samsung fixes this, I'm never buying a Samsung smartphone again.

They are most likely not going to, they never supported this. It's just to few people that care. Like with RAW photo support.

Actually, they now support RAW, on the S24 Ultra. But this codex thing? I didn't even think to check out this feature before buying. Then, when I listened to Qobuz, I started to get distortion. I thought it was my $100 Samsung headphones. What an **bleep** I feel like. The phone doesn't have the correct codec? So all the services offering high hi res audio are shut out. All the top of the line headphone manufacturers are shut out? The solution isn't to beg Samsung to support the codeces. The solution is to get these businesses to pressure Samsung to support the correct codex that allows their products to function correctly. Then it's off to another cell manufacturer just out of spite.

Agreed.  It's about time.  The S series is supposed to be their flagship.  It needs to have more high-res bluetooth codecs than just LDAC and their own SSC.

This, this right here is what I want too. I want my Samsung Galaxy buds 2 Pro to be able to play any and all of the best codecs out there. I bet these things would sound so much better if we had more options to pick our best personal preferences. Plus if one of these new signals is a little bit better at not consuming it as much energy, that would be nice too.

It's more than a year since the apx HD and adaptive encoders were opened to apply. Still, these codecs can't be found in Samsung devices. Moreover, LC3 was supposed to be a part of one of the previous updates. And it isn't. I have found such petition concerning this subject:

The lack of  Snapdragon Sound support on the S24 Ultra makes a mockery of this being a flagship product. There is simply no excuse for this on the Ultra, as it uses the Snapdragon chipset worldwide.

Wireless headphones and true wireless earbuds from major hifi companies such as Bowers & Wilkins, Focal, Denon, T&A, Dali, Sennheiser, etc all use apt-x adaptive in preference to LDAC, and many are now using apt-x lossless. Limiting performance to vanilla apt-x is a disgrace.
