S24 Battery Drain Post-Update

I updated to one UI7 last night and now my battery while on idle is draining extremely fast. 

Had I known this would be an issue I would have never updated to this crappy software. 

This is a major issue and like I said I can notice the extreme battery drain while the phone is idle.

If Samsung doesn't fix this issue I will be filing a claim as to me this is now a defective item that they caused.

My problem is that once my battery is at 5%, I have seconds to get to a charger. Throughout the day, everything is fine; I'm still getting all-day battery life with One UI 7. The only problem is that last 5% at the end of the day. I definitely didn't have that problem before.

I received it last week.  It drains the battery level like crazy even though I cleared the cache.   Samsung SUCKS!

Put apps into deep sleep your not using regularly.

Actions to Take:

1. Clear Partician Cache
2. Install Good Guardians
3. Run Battery Guardians
4. Turn off WiFi Scanning
5. Turn off Bluetooth Scanning
6. Disable all Customization Services apps, permissions, etc.
7. Uninstall updates for Google Play Services and reinstall. Fixes GPS bug (You will have to reset your watch)
8. Create GPS Bixby Routine to turn on GPS when the apps you designate are opened.
9. Deep Sleep apps you are not using. Stops them from running in the background.
10. Enjoy your phone.

YouTube is still a known battery hog. Clear the cache of this app and update to the beta version.

The steps above helped a lot with my 24U. I also did the beta program and it does take time for each of the updates to settle in.

Whenever you notice a significant battery drain, it is good to repeat step 1.
Rogue processes and apps can get stuck and clearing the cache will clean that out.

All of the 10 repair steps above are correct. Thanks for posting for all. I just personally think due to dealing with this issue for a while. The main battery drain culprit since beta 5 is the GPS bug that runs the Google Play Services location request every 30 seconds back to back to back, until you do the play services uninstall/ reinstall. Once that happens it drains the battery at record speeds even with screen on or off. Plus the phone starts heating up quickly too. I really think that this is the main reason for all of the one ui7 release delays. It is certainly not a stable build at all. It is still just beta software, unfortunately, because one ui7 has so much darn potential to be so so great. 🙏🏻 ✌🏻

We all need to demand from Samsung to take care of this asap. As this bug is breaking hundreds of thousands of flagship phones around the world right now. We need a hot-fix for this GPS bug ASAP Sammy. Until then GPS location accuracy and location sharing are the main battery culprit. Turning those off will definitely help a lot after the play services uninstall and reinstall.

Ever since the one ui 7 update was released for the s24 ultra I noticed that my battery drains a lot faster. Is anyone else experiencing this?

It's a big update with lots of changes. Your phone needs to adapt again. I'm guessing it should even out again in a week or so.
