I have a Samsung tabA that won't charge. Ive tried several chargers and outlets and get nothing. Can anything be done about this? Replace the charging port maybe?

The port has been blown out with compressed air.

If you can do diagnostic test might show the cause I'm thinking bad port or cable

I tried several chargers and outlets. How do I run that test? If done on the tablet I can't because it's dead dead

Only other thought would be battery fault or gone bad tough to say if the battery was not lasting as long would be one sign

Not knowing how old it is or whether it's actually a dead battery or if it just was turned off recently and won't start, Try pressing and holding the Power and Vol Down buttons for about 60 seconds and see if it comes to life.  Also if not, plug it in and leave it over night and see if it charges and lastly, connect it to a computer USB and see if it eventually comes to life from that.... otherwise it needs service or replacement.

@ShortBusMeg If it is the original Samsung Tab A, it was released 8 years old. The battery could be dead.
