Currently we can set folder colors to match our wallpapers however they are mainly neutral colors. There is no red or bright orange colors. We have this option on the lockscreen but not the homescreen. Please Samsung add a color wheel to wallpaper and styles for our home screens. I'm surprised this isn't already an option.

I'm not sure exactly what feature you believe is missing with color selection. Both folders and color wallpapers have the color spectrum option to choose literally any color you want. You can even input hex codes for extremely specific colors.

If you turn on the color palette feature in wallpaper and style, it will pick up the colors from your wallpaper.  It usually gives you 4 color schemes to choose from, picking up the main colors and each choice picking different secondary colors.  The folder color choices will show you the main colors from your wallpaper first, and the last circle is the spectrum where you can pick any color you want either through the color grid or the spectrum for a more fine tuned color choice.

You are on the basic colors section, not the wallpaper color palette. Tap on the wallpaper colors title and you will see 4 choices for the shades in your wallpaper.  Choose the selection where you like the colors best.  If you want to change the color of the folder background, you have to open the folder, tap on the color circle next to the + sign and choose your color, either using the spectrum or the color tiles.

Now you can get the color wheel on the homescreen if you click on each folder but I want it as part of wallpaper and styles so it sets all of them at one time. Sometimes it's hard to find a color that matches your wallpapers.

It's been so long since I've created a new folder, but I believe the default background of folders is grey. Unfortunately, if it's not the color you want, you have to choose the color for each folder individually.  Some people color code their folders, some people don't care, some people just label them.  There is currently no way to set a default color for the background of all folders.  But, if you want to use one of the colors of your wallpaper, setting the palette, will give you those colors to choose from in the color choices for the folder.
