A Series & Other MobileHello,
I’m having an issue with Samsung Pass on my Galaxy A16 (model SM-A165F/DS). Everything was working fine yesterday, but after resetting my phone and restoring my data via Smart Switch from a USB drive, Samsung Pass stopped working.
When I open the app and tap “Continue,” it loads for a long time and then shows:
“Samsung Pass is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later PassKey 401”
Samsung Pass is installed and up to date.
Samsung Pass Framework is installed.
In Settings → General Management → Autofill service, Samsung Pass is selected as the default.
My phone is fully updated.
I’ve tried clearing the cache and data for Samsung Pass, but it didn’t help.
I don’t have a computer to back up my data another way, and I want to avoid a full factory reset if possible.
Has anyone experienced this issue or knows a way to reactivate Samsung Pass without losing my data?
Thank you in advance for any help!

A Series & Other MobileI've never had Samsung Wallet, yet Samsung Pass worked correctly before the reinstallation, and I installed Samsung Wallet to be sure, but nothing changed.

A Series & Other MobilePut in an error report. Samsung Pass is working fine for me, so it's not a server issue. You don't need a computer to do a full backup, you can use Smart Switch and Samsung's temporary cloud backup or you can do a complete backup to a flash drive. You really only need to back up personally created data, as everything else is backed up in the auto backup, so if you have to do a full reset, you're safe. You said you already did a factory reset and restore, so why are you reluctant to do it again?

A Series & Other MobileI performed the backup and restore from Smart Switch using a USB drive, but that's when the problems started. I didn't want to use that method anymore because I thought that Smart Switch might be the cause of the problem.

A Series & Other MobileAlso, you can just transfer your personal files over to your flash drive through the file manager, but I doubt Smart Switch caused the issue unless your backup was corrupted and the restore compounded the corruption.

A Series & Other MobileOh, I did not realize you were not in the U.S. In other countries Samsung Pass may not be integrated with Samsung Wallet, and would also use a different server. Glad you got it fixed.
