I have a Samsung QN75Q7FNAFXZA TV, Samsung Q850D Soundbar and NVIDIA Shield TV model P3430 and the Shield is connected to the soundbar and the soundbar to the TV. The TV no longer receives a signal from the source soundbar (just stopped working no changes), however if I connect the Shield to the TV it works. What are possible problems and solutions?

Cause everything should be connected to the TV? It acts as the audio/visual hub. You can the select the input sources and output devices using just one (the TV's) remote controller or Samsung compatible phone. Gone are the days on needing multiple remotes, one for each device connected.

Samsung soundbars are not a pass through device. Audio IN is there for audio only devices that you wish to listen to with the TV off.

Thanks for the response, but you are not correct.  The setup is proper and was working for 4 years and just stopped working.  When you have a streaming device, soundbar and tv, the flow always goes from device to soundbar then to tv via ARC.

I don't use ARC, just wi-fi to the soundbar, HDMI cable(s) from a DVD (or laptop) and a digital antenna to the TV via the One Connect black box.

You may want to replace the HDMI ARC cable and inspect the ports for any damage and that the cable is properly seated.

I'm sorry that I've not been much help to you.

All the best.
