On aug 30 2025 I started receiving AS400 errors trying to load apps from the Samsung tv. Support had me connect to the hotspot, which works great but is much slower, and as soon as I connect back to Ruth's wired or normal WiFi, which has no problems with Netflix, I start getting the errors and can not search or add apps. Nothing changed on my router, and all other functions work fine. The issue seems to be more of a DNS search issue but I tried Cloudflare and Google DNS, but that did not help. My question is why would we need to connect to a phone hotspot in order to setup apps at all? Does
anyone have the reason I was considering buying another LED Samsung TV just to have the same feature which worked great until just a few weeks ago?

It looks like this AS400 error code represents a Smart Hub connection failure. In many cases, this is the result of a network issue or an outdated firmware. To answer your question, you would need WiFi to set up your Smart Hub applications (link updates or apps' account links). If your TV is up to date, I would recommend resetting your Smart Hub. To do this, follow the directions below.
1) Press the Home button on your remote.
2) Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub.
3) Enter your TV's PIN (the default is 000000).

That solution works only while connected to a hotspot. I can even switch it back to my normal wired connection ruin but once I restart the tv it has the same as400 error again. I can even enable the remote ip support unless I switch to a it spot. All other function work for my WiFi and Netflix works fine. Abd it works to add apps etc once I use hitspot then switch back to my internal wired connection until I restart the tv.

Have you tried contacting your internet service provider? The last option would be performing a factory reset on the TV. If you need the directions on how to do this. Please provide the model number of the TV. Thank you.

  • Hi

I have previously done a full reset.

The isp would like to know what the server dns names and or ups are used by the Samsung tvapp as well as the remote ip support site as whenever we try to enable support it can not reach the site to download the agreement.

I do not have any firewall rules running running etc.

That information will be necessary for a wire shark capture etc.

Thanks
