Monitors and Memory

Twitter/x team told me to post here. So i am.

You guys have AMOLED panels you use for laptops/tablets. You also use qd-oled panels for larger displays. I would LOVE a 16 inch monitor (or there about) that was high pixels per inch (PPI) and offered high refresh rate.

I recently ordered some chinese brand 16" 2880x1800 120hz and while it was nice, its also **bleep** for another reason and lacks the build quality of Samsung products. Essential the amoled panel looks great, but is driven by a janky mainboard/motherboard. It has two usb-c, one for power and one for display, then one hdmi that only allows 100hz max (need usb-c to get 120hz). The tuning controls are bad, they dont really calibrate the display, etc. my issue? It overheated over and over again. Chinese off brand garbage. So im returning it.

Which is why i hit up samaungUSA on twitter/x, to say yall should dominate the market. Qd-oled im 27" and bigger.... Now do amoled in smaller sizes.

For me? Im a 36 year old oldschool gamer. I grew up with a 15" crt for the longest time, eventually getting a 17" hand-me-down when my dad adopted early lcd displays (720p ones). I prefer smaller displays. Why? Because its easier to focus on. Especially in gaming. When im playing an fps game at say 3440x1440 on my Alienware aw3423dw (using a first gen qd-oled) my play style is to stare at my crosshair and use my mouse to look around inside the game world. So all that extra screen is literally wasted on peripheral vision that i dont even use. I hard focus center screen, looking "into" the game world. Military are trained to always "look with your gun" example you want to clear a room sweeping left to right. You point your gun left, always looking down the barrel, and sweep with your body, turning to move your gun left to right, keeping your eyes locked down barrel. I adopted that to my playstyle in gaming. Its served me well im the 15-17 inch crt days. Now? Too much screen.

So why not sell budget amoled displays in the 16" range? Cheaper than your higher priced and higher refresh qd-oled displays. Everyone would switch to OLED. Your only competitor LG? They dont even make smaller displays. Not that ive seem. Literally every brand would come to you for smaller displays.... Pure market dominance. Its just profit waiting to land in Samsungs bank account. The new 500hz qd-oleds are releasing about now/soon. A out a grand ($1000) give or take a hundred or so.... Now imagine AMOLED screens, smaller, cheaper. Say $300-500 to take up the lower end. Everyone would be on Samsung panels one way or another. AMOLED budget range and QD-OLED top tier. EVERYONE wants OLED.... But "everyone" cant afford it. Except with this idea.

So please think it over. As a handicapped person, i spend literally all day in bed. I use a vesa arm to swing a display over my bed. Because this 16" chinese amoled display is bad, I'll be going back to my alienware. I prefer small monitors. I would rather have three small displays than one super larger one. I could imagine three amoled 16". Left would be my media screen, movies/tv/anime/youtube whatever. Middle would be gaming. The active one. And right would be my mini-pc, used to sell items in games like rose online which require you to be logged in to sell. Thats my dream.... Make it come true? Thanks for reading.
