Is there a way that Samsung developers can expose the DDC/CI feature channel for changing the input source.  I currently have two video inputs through PIP with my keyboard and mouse connected.  Whenever I want to use my keyboard and mouse on a different input I have to physically select the button on the monitor to change the input source for the keyboard/mouse.  I would like to see if its possible to expose the DDC Feature for USB/KVM switching.   Other monitor manufacturers expose this via 0xE3 or another channel.  For the amount of money that is spent on this I would hope its a quick implementation by Samsung developers to give users a better experience.  If you look below I can change the input video for the screen, but not the input source for the keyboard/mouse.  Feature 60 is for the video, but the feature is not available for the input source(keyboard/mouse).

Input Source + PIP/PBP DDC/CI Controls Missing or Non-Functional (Firmware M-C9557GGPA-1007.0)

Subject: Odyssey G95NC (57") โ€“ Incomplete / Broken DDC/CI Control (Input Source + PIP/PBP)
Firmware: M-C9557GGPA-1007.0

Product: Samsung Odyssey G95NC (57")
Firmware: M-C9557GGPA-1007.0
Connection modes tested: HDMI, DisplayPort, PIP, PBP
OS: Linux (X11), NVIDIA GPU
DDC tool: ddcutil (MCCS / VCP 2.0)

Summary
DDC/CI support on the Odyssey G95NC is incomplete and inconsistent for a monitor explicitly marketed for advanced multi-input use.

Specifically:

Input source selection via VCP 0x60 is incomplete

HDMI-1 and HDMI-2 are selectable via DDC/CI

HDMI-3 is not reliably selectable (or not selectable at all) via DDC/CI, despite being a valid on-screen input

PIP / PBP modes are not controllable via DDC/CI

There is no exposed, documented way to:

Enable/disable PIP

Enable/disable PBP

Select the secondary input source for PIP

Select the left/right inputs for PBP modes

This makes full automation of the monitorโ€™s advertised capabilities impossible.

Observed Behavior
Input Source Control (VCP 0x60)
getvcp 60 correctly reports the current input when changed via the OSD.

setvcp 60 <value>:

Works reliably for HDMI-1 and HDMI-2

Does not work reliably for HDMI-3

Extensive testing (including brute-force VCP value scans with 5โ€“10 second dwell per value) shows:

Many values are ignored or aliased

No deterministic, writable value exists for HDMI-3

This behavior is reproducible and persists across reboots.

PIP / PBP Control
No VCP features are exposed to:

Enable or disable PIP

Enable or disable PBP

Select the input used for PIP

Select the two inputs used for PBP

These features are only accessible via the on-screen menu.

Expected Behavior
For a monitor in this class, the following should be supported via DDC/CI:

All physical inputs (HDMI-1 / HDMI-2 / HDMI-3 / DP) should be:

Readable via VCP

Selectable via VCP

PIP and PBP modes should be controllable via DDC/CI, including:

PIP enable / disable

PBP enable / disable

Selection of the secondary PIP input

Selection of both inputs used in PBP modes

At minimum, these should be documented, stable, and deterministic.

Why This Matters
This is a premium, professional-grade monitor.

At this price point:

Reliable DDC/CI control is expected

Partial or undocumented DDC/CI implementations break:

Automated workflows

Multi-system desks

KVM-style setups

PIP/PBP use cases explicitly advertised for this model

Lower-cost monitors expose these controls correctly.

Request
Please treat this as a firmware defect or missing feature, not a usage issue.

Specifically:

Fix HDMI-3 input selection via DDC/CI

Expose DDC/CI controls for:

PIP enable/disable

PBP enable/disable

PIP input selection

PBP input selection

Or publish official documentation for the correct VCP codes if they already exist

Firmware currently tested: M-C9557GGPA-1007.0

Closing
This monitor is not inexpensive.
Its software and firmware support should match its positioning.

Please escalate this to the firmware/DDC implementation team.
