Hi,
Hereโs the issue (The Portability Paradox):
We love our powerful Mini PCs because theyโre tiny, but we still need a huge screen! Carrying a big, non-folding external monitor completely defeats the purpose of "portability." Our Mini PCs are stuck.
The Solution: The 14-inch Pocket Fold Display
Imagine a monitor that finally fixes this:
* It uses your amazing Z Fold display tech.
* Unfolded: It's a proper 14-inch screen for real work/media.
* Folded: It literally folds down to about 7 inches (or less), making it truly pocketableโthe perfect companion size for any Mini PC.
* Connection: Just one USB-C cable for everything.
This isn't just an accessory; it's the product that finally makes full-power, on-the-go productivity a reality.

Monitors and Memory@SaSe It's an interesting idea but let's talk some numbers. Assuming that you are measuring the display using standard diagonal measurements, a 14" display would need to be 8" tall to be standard PC ratio. This is 1.5" taller than an S25 Ultra.
Assuming that you want the same width as a S25 Ultra for pocketability, it would need to be ~3" wide folded. It would need 3 folds. Assuming the extra folds can keep roughly the same thickness of the Fold 7, that would put it at about 0.7" thick (more than 2 S25 Ultras).
This would require a big pocket.
And... you also have to carry your phone to plug into this display. And you probably want a power adapter since the display will be using the phones power.
So, there are some issues to be worked out.

Monitors and MemoryThank you very much for taking the time to provide such detailed and helpful technical feedback on the concept. I truly appreciate you running the numbers on the feasibility!
You are absolutely correct; the size and thickness are significant engineering challenges to overcome for true "pocketability."
However, the primary goal of this product is not to be a phone accessory, but to solve a portability paradox for the growing number of users who carry a Mini PC (like myself).
For this user, carrying a 0.7-inch thick, folded 7-inch monitor is a massive improvement over carrying a non-folding monitors. The extra bulk is justified because it finally unlocks the full potential of their highly portable PC.
Regarding power, users of Mini PCs already carry a power supply for the PC itself, and having the display draw power from the same PC (or its adapter) is an acceptable trade-off for the unprecedented compactness.
Possible Alternative Solution:
If a three-fold design is too complex, could the market tolerate a slightly larger two-fold (Z Fold-style) 12-inch display that folds down to approximately 6 inches, even if it has a slightly thicker profile?
I believe that addressing the Mini PC market with the worldโs first true folding monitor represents a major opportunity for Samsung.

Monitors and MemoryI have a portable 14" 15.6" display. It is no different than carrying a tablet. I think that is the solution that most people will find useful and within their budget. (corrected size of display)

Monitors and Memory@SaSe Mine is a couple of years old. And I guess it is a 15.6" (I'll correct my other post). The company is Lepow and it is a Z1 series. Very inexpensive, and work great.

Monitors and MemoryThank you for the correction in your comment. I checked the Lepow monitor brand. Unfortunately, the smallest portable size they offer is 15.4 inches, and they do not have anything smaller.

Monitors and MemoryThat is an essential question. My short answer is: Yes, the initial market would absolutely pay over $2000. The target is the high-end professional and digital nomad who has already invested in premium Mini \text{PCs} and needs the ultimate portable workspace. This product should be viewed like the first \text{Galaxy Z Fold}โa premium launch that defines a new category and justifies its cost by solving the unprecedented portability paradox. Like any new display technology, the price will naturally drop as production scales, but the initial value lies in its unique ability to enable full desktop productivity anywhere.
