Greetings,

I have a Samsung QN90AA 50 Tv and YouTube TV. Up until last night it had worked for some years.

Now there is no video or sound. The guide shows up and all the settings tabs and so on. There is even the option to resume a previously viewed show and I can click on that.

No video at all. It is stuck on  a black screen with the little circle spinning.

If I click on the resume show windows, there is a commercial for some 3 minutes. The commercial video shows. No problem. there little timer is there to show the 3 minutes going by. Then upon completion, the screen goes black with the spinning circle.

I have done the following: power recycle, reinstall, clear cache, delete Smart Hub and reset to factory specs. No change.

In looking at the nerd information there is NO "Network Activity" The connection speed shows as well as the buffer health.

Also, YouTube TV works fine on my Samsung S21, desktop, laptop, tablet and Roku device. No problem.

The Samsung TV is connected via hardware to the router. There is WiFi also. Tried both connections. Just in case there was a hard wire issue. Zero luck there.

Up until now, there was not any issue. Download speed is about 120 Mps and upload is about 60 Mps.

I just submitted a new ticket to You Tube TV.

After doing house chores today I was thinking about the blasted YTTV still not working.

Same issue. Wondering if you have any solution yet?

Yes, our solution is an Amazon Firestick plugged into an HDMI port on my Samsung TV.  We use the Amazon Remote to run everything.  This setup works for every streaming service we use including YoutubeTV, and we also watch Amazon Live TV instead of Samsung Live TV now.

As a result, we haven't used the Samsung remote or Samsung Live TV Channels in probably 6 months.

I just resubscribed to YouTube TV for the football season and I’m having the same exact issue. I have two QN90A’s (75 and 65) as well as another model Samsung and the 75 inch is the only one having this issue. I have tried everything you did. Shame on Samsung. I guess I will have to get an Apple TV or fire stick to get this to work on my biggest tv.

The YouTube TV app worked fine on this tv last season. I only subscribe to YouTube tv during the nfl season and just use an antenna and my other apps for the rest of the year.

I bought the Roku 4K. Although you need to be careful with the data. YouTubeTV does not turn off when you stop watching. You need to exit completely otherwise; YouTube TV will keep running regardless if the TV is off or not. One would need to exit YouTubeTV. When running on the Samsung, it just turns off.

I ran over with my Internet data. I do not have unlimited data (Cox limitations).

I have submitted multiple tickets to YouTubeTV. They just blame my bandwidth. I have fiber with close to 600mps up and 600mps down.

@userTg2j09DivS  The only solution we found a year ago was to install an Amazon Firestick in an HDMI port, and then simply use the Firestick remote for everything.  We threw the Samsung remote in a drawer.  YTTV has worked fine every since.  We get a whole lot more Amazon free TV channels, so that was a plus.

I have given up having submitted multiple tickets to YouTube TV. They tell me it is my fault that I do not have enough bandwidth to the TV. I have an RJ-45 cable directly into the TV from the router.

I have sent them videos of the problem. No luck.

It is funny that the APP starts fine and that the schedule listing shows and then after two minutes or so, there are snapshot images of the actual programming when I move the time bar back. The data is coming in but just not streaming.

I pointed this out to YTTV as well....yes with video sent.

Nothing.

So yes, I have given up as well. Roku external module with ethernet jack hookup. No issues at all. (Other than the instant resume that I cannot turn off).

Here we are over a year later and nothing has been done. It's time for Samsung to de-certify these apps that do not work. It's false advertising to say that my Samsung TV will allow me to stream YouTube-TV, Roku, and Pluto TV when one of those apps are operational. Oddly enough the regular YouTube app works fine, along with Amazon Prime and Tubi. So some people know how to code these apps and others do not.

Maybe it is time for a class action lawsuit.

I think it is an operating system issue. Samsung uses Tizen OS for its applications and there is a programming issue. If you look back at my photos, I outline the entire issue.

I can get the channels to show in the listing and even the thumbnail to show once 2 minutes have gone by but no live streaming.

With regard to submitting tickets to Google? Useless....although they are always polite.

I had the same issue. Samsung just doesn’t care to fix their product. I ended up getting an Apple TV and absolutely love it. Honestly, I wish I would have gotten this sooner because the product just works, and does everything ten times better. I will never buy another Samsung anything— I stopped using their cell phones because of issues like this, and now I will stay clear of anything they make. They don’t care about their customers input and simply ignore the issue. Then they tell you that you have to pay and repairman to change your motherboard out and not update your system, as apparently a software update caused this issue. That is a joke. This should be an easy fix, but it isn’t because Samsung just doesn’t care. What a shame.
