UN65MU8000FXZA

I've had this tv since it released in 2017 and I have only ever had English set for the language for this tv.  As of today all voice commands given are not being recognized and when displayed on the tv, it's showing up in Russian.  

I have checked all of the language settings and they are set to English. I'm unable to check for an update to this tv for some reason as that option is grayed out and it's showing as offline in the smart things app.  

The only thing I really use the voice commands for is to turn on the sleep timer which I can do manually still, however, it's not convenient.  

There are also multiple posts on Reddit for this same issue happening on other models but no solutions as to how to fix it.  

Is there a fix for this issue?

 

Edit to add: the TV is connected to my network, I'm able to use streaming apps on it without issues and it does have my Samsung account connected.

Having same issue. Samsung TV model UN55MU650DF voice commands show on screen in Russian language. My father who is blind uses the voice command because he cannot see the on screen channel list so this problem makes the TV useless. Please fix.

It would be interesting if it was the remote itself, let me know if that works for you. 

It's just so weird because when I activate the voice commands it shows the text at the bottom of the screen that's something like how can I help or something to that nature, I'm not close to the TV atm to get the exact text it shows,  in English but it seems like the TV is processing the voice it receives as a different language which is why it doesn't know how to process something as simple as setting the sleep timer.

I doubt it will fix the issue. I have 2 different model Samsungs from 2017 each with there own and different style remotes and both have the exact same problem.

This is happening to me as well.  Just started within the past few days, my kids noticed it first, but just thought they were using it wrong, or something.  I utilize the Universal Remote feature to control my home theater.  this is extremely disruptive.  Please fix this!!!

Here as well! Just out of the blue. Reset tv, reset WiFi, no diff. I would have to guess their smart hub server has been compromised.

I've noticed that when this started the other day, if I went into the support settings I was still able to select Software Update (even though there hasn't been an update since 2020 I think Version 1401) but not today it's grayed out...can no longer select that or Self Diagnosis. These were both able to be selected the other day...weird.
